LOL - found out that he decided to put some dogs on the bed with him, they licked him awake! Steven is 4 years older than Devin. They came by my office a little while ago, told me they were heading out to get matching tattoos. I sure hope they were just teasing me...
Have you heard from Amber yet? Do you have skype on your computer? We'er getting it so that we can see the boys while chatting on the computer, modern technology - you gotta love it!

Carrie - I will get my hands on those orders tonight when I get home! Devin's older brother got home @ 0430 this morning and is sleeping and Devin is stomping around the house trying to wake him up without actually shaking him awake so that they can go do something - no matter how old they get they are still such boys! LOL That is so nice that Stephen is welcoming Amber to Naples, his momma raised that boy right! :0)

Here's a question for you, how do you already have Amber's address? Is it in her paperwork? I'll have to ask Devin that, I thought I wouldn't have one until he got there but if I can get it sooner I can put some boxes in the mail as well!

Oh Carrie - I was on the road all day yesterday but had you in my thoughts! Amber is in good hands, she's going to love Italy and just think of all the wonderful stories she'll have to share. Devin found out yesterday that he leaves from VA on the 15th - same thing, taking the military flight over. He will be flying back to VA on the 13th as he has some paperwork to pick up on the 14th and has a friend that is stationed there so he will stay with him for the 2 nights before he flies out. I'm trying not to think about it too much, just enjoying our time. When he left for boot camp last November all I could think was that I would hardly see my boy for the next 5 years, as it turned out, I got to see him far more than I ever dreamed! He had PIR on 12/24 and I brought him home for Christmas, after A school graduation he got to come home for 2 weeks and be his brother's best man at his wedding and he was home for 2 long weekends while at C school! I have been spoiled by the Navy! LOL I guess now the paying back begins, he'll be in Naples for 3 years! Oh well, I am definitely planning at least one trip over if not more while he's there!

Don't forget I am here for you anytime. No we put Stephen on hold after he left for Italy so he could call us on his way there. YEA! I am glad your son is coming home, where is he coming from?

Carrie, are you doing ok? Don't worry she is going to love it, really! And yes her sponsor will be there and help her, mayber even take her for a bite to eat. Let me know when she gets there, ok!

Robin, not yet I have not heard where it is, but he is moving in today I believe. I will talk to him about where to shop, thanks. I know he said it was around 15-20 minutes from base. I just wish I lived closer!

I don't know what the other boy has to bring to the house. Stephen said that the other sailors talk about ordering off line for Target. I know about the IKEA I love it, he has been there before. He said it is very expensive in Italy, you don't find it expensive to live there?
Comment by Debbie (Stephen's mom) on December 1, 2009 at 11:02am
Now I am very worried Robin, I hope they know what they are getting into. I know the Navy does help out a lot, well that is what Stephen told me, something else to worry about, oh brother! I will tell him everything you are telling me, but I would think they would know all this. They wanted room for the families to stay with them when they come to visit. We are going in May and the other sailors parents are coming up to visit next year too. I know Stephen wants off of base really bad. It is funny that you mention about sending my Christmas list, I did that yesterday. LOL Stephen is a very warm person so I don't think heat will be a big problem for him, he works in an icebox, he is an ITSN and the computers are in a very cold room, he does complain about that sometimes how he goes outside to warm up.

Hey Sharon, how are you doing? Yes you are so right time goes by so fast!
Comment by Debbie (Stephen's mom) on November 30, 2009 at 9:14pm
Robin, thank you so much, a lot of what you said Stephen has told me. He told me that the Navy does help them a lot. The will give them beds but he will have to buy dishes, silverware and all that good stuff. He told me a lot of people shop at Target they will deliver to Italy so maybe I will have to get him some Target cards. Yes he will get a housing allowance and a food allowance. I did not know about the maintance allowance. Food allowance is not enough $10 a day is not enough but I know he will do just fine. I just copied and pasted what you wrote me and sent it to Stephen, the more he knows the better. The sailor he is moving out with is a E4 so he has to get off of base, Stephen is very excited about moving off, I am not, something else to worry about. LOL Robin I know I always say this but thanks you have been a great help. He said it is a 6 bedroom house and is afortable with the two of them. He also said that the Navy has a warehouse with items that the sailors have left behind because they did not want it or did not want to ship it home. He has a couch already and a TV. He almost has everything. LOL His friend has a car, they work the same shift and they will work around them to keep the same shift. I think Stephen told me in a car he is around 15 to 20 minutes a way from base. Keep him in your prays, I am worried about him, I liked him on the base but he is 22 and is very excited about moving.
