Well Carrie let see, yes you are right she will be on the other base, which is a much better base, that is where everything is. The have a bowling alley, and a bigger NEX and a place to see movies she will love it over there. So I guess Stephen would not be her sponsor. I believe the rooms are nicer, next time I talk to Stephen I will ask him more about the base and get back to you. The ball today I believe is on that base, Stephen told me he had to take a bus to the over base and one back. Stephen does have two seabags, the are expensive, so Stephen had two seabags, one big suitcase and a carry on. Just make sure she packs an outfit on her carry on, and have some money with her. If anything goes wrong there is a USO in every airport she can go there and they will help her. Stephen flew to GA and then to Rome and then to Italy, he had problems with missing a plane because of the plane coming in late in Chicago, it was terrible and then his bags were lost somewhere for 3 days, so Stephen lived in the same clothes for three days. Oh, Stephen also had a garment (sp) bag. I will ask him where he keeps all of that. He has a twin bed, with a micro-wave and a bathroom with a desk in his room with a big closet and a refrigator in it. He has a ceiling fan and a window air conditioner in his room. He showed me the room with skype and it looked pretty nice. Ok, let see, Stephen needed a shower curtain his room did not have one. He had to buy an alarm clock because his phone was his alarm clock but their phones don't work out there. I am going to send him another set of sheets because they gave him one. They do have a IKEA out there but you need a car of bus to get there. Stephen said things are expensive. He did take towels and soap, personnel items he wanted. I will ask him again when I talk with him to see what else he had to buy down there and I will let you know. Skype you must download skype and get a webcam that is a life saver. I am so excited she is coming home. YEA! I hope this helps a little we will talk more. LOL

Carrie that is so wonderful, she will love it. Does she have a sponsor yet? It could be my son!!!!

Robin, thanks, I did call yesterday and they did tell me we could stay but could only make reservations 60 days in advance, so Stephen is going to go over there and check it out, i printed out all of your information, you are the best, I thought maybe the Navy Lodge would save us a little money, it is I think for a queen size bed $92 a night which is really cheap compare to the other hotels are are staying at. You are have vistors that is so fun. Enjoy your time with your friends, don't forget I love to see pictures, I would love to meet you Robin I think I would love to list to you and the story you could tell when you lived in Italy. Have a nice weekend!

Carrie is Amber excited about going to Italy????

Thanks Robin you are right, Stephen went to talk to them and we can stay if room and yes he has to be with us to check in and to come and go, but he is taking leaving and we are going to be connected at the hips. LOL I am going to call to see if I can make the reservation if not Stephen will have to do it. If we cannot for some reason (no open rooms) maybe you can suggest somewhere. Thanks, you are always so helpful. How have you been Robin? Talk to Stephen yesterday and he is doing great, the ball is Friday and he is going. He sold tickets fo the ball and he will sell tickets at the door for a little while and then he is going to party. I wish I could see him in his uniform, he told me he would talk pictures, if I do get any I will post them. Enjoy your day!

Yes, on her orders it should tell her everything. Stephen flew from Chicago, to GA and then to Rome, but he missed his flight in GA because his flight in Chicago was late, that was bad,he had to sleep in the airport for two days and then finally when he got to Naples no bags for three days, it was terrible, no clothes, no food. I know it will go better with your daughter, and his sponsor was not good, have a great evening talk to you later.

I can give you the number for the Navy Lodge I will try and remember if I forget remind me. Stephen went and talked with them now I will call. I wish we could fly first class but there are 3 of us and airfare is high in May so no coach, airfare for one person was 1,400.00, but we are making a stop so it is around 700 per person. We are flighing into Paris, spending a few days and then flighting to Naples staying there and then all four of us are taking a train to Rome for 4 days and we will fly home and Stephen will take the train back to Naples, we will be there over two weeks. I can't wait for her to come home, you will be so happy. Does she have her written orders?

LOL Carrie, yes there is a hotel on base for us, it runs around $50 a night, I plan on calling in a week or two to make reservations for myself, it also includes a kitchen. How about going to the library and seel if they have anything you can check out! My kids took French! LOL I bet Stephen is sorry he did not take Italian, but he took a class down there and he has a friend that is teaching him. Carrie how have you been? We are booking our airfare Thrusday for Italy we are leaving May 25th, can't wait to see my son!!! Stephen says the weather has been the same as Chicago, when we talked last week, but today is great, but the rest of the week wet and cold.

LOL Carrie, I don't blame you, it does get cold here after all those leaves fall down. Today is Sunday and it is very nice here around 60 and sunny, how great is that, we did have a nice time in MI, thanks! How was your weekend? Talked with Stephen Thursday night for 3 hours, LOL so if I don't talk to him next week that will be ok!!!!!

That is nice Carrie you ride your bike to work, my mom and dad live in North Port and my dad rides his bike to work he is 88! LOL I would love some of your weather, it is cold and wet here, not fun, but the colors on the trees are beautiful. Part time is nice, I have a daughter in college so I will not be going part time any time soon. LOL but that is ok! 9 years that is a long time. I hope you have a wonderful weekend we are going to MI this weekend so I will not be around but enjoy!!!!!
