Sorry Pam, I know it is so hard, go ahead a cry that help me. Can you skype him? It helps when you can see them. Just remember they are doing what they want. They are seeing wonderful places and doing amazing things. Jobs are so hard out there, they have a steady paycheck coming in. And they look so handsome in their uniforms, lol Hang in there!
Thanks Teri... I'm usually pretty upbeat about the whole thing, but when he hit the one year mark of being over there it was like "wow, I haven't actually seen my kid in a year." And this darn rain we continue to have in Georgia doesn't help! It's going to be a very wet winter here and I know we need it, but darn. Some sunshine to brighten my mood would be nice!
Have a great day everyone!
I'm having a tough time this week for some reason ladies..... I miss my son!
Pam that is so funny that is the first thing Stephen showed me. lol It was beautiful, he went outside with his laptop and showed us all around.
I am glad the kids had a good time in Budapest that is wonderful they do see wonderful things don't they.
Hope everyone is doing good!
Yikes - that volcano was the first thing Jamie showed us on Skype when he first moved to Naples, but I did not know one had erupted. I've seen the pictures of Pompeii and how eerie that must be to visit...
Rachel's Mom - that is funny! Having someone so far from home that you can connect with makes the whole experience that much more fun! I'm so happy they get along so well. And I thought my son was the only crazy person that eats the orange pieces! Ha, ha....
The cold has reached Georgia also. So far our winter has been very nice and mild. Sounds like next Christmas will be great for you Carrie if they can make it home. Jamie said after being in Naples for another year he will be ready to come back stateside. He may get stationed in South Carolina next, but with the Navy you just never know.
Rachel's Mom - sounds like you had a great New Year! I'm ready for a beach trip since we didn't do our annual trip to the Gulf Coast this past summer. We did a quick four day trip to Savannah back in August, but only spent an hour or so at the Atlantic.
Carrie, I am glad that Amber will be heading back to Italy to finish up. Glad your son got to come home. I had both kids home this year it was wonderful. Hope your kids can be home next year, that would be wonderful. Very cold here around 27 and a little snow but not bad. Wish I was with you sitting outside, lol take care!
Rachels mom sounds so nice. Wish we had sun here in Chicago, but we have been lucky with the weather so far. Enjoy and be safe
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
