Sharon, I am so excited for you, have a wonderful time with having your son home. 22, he is getting old, lol my daughter turns 22 on July 17th. Take lots of pictures I love to see pictures. He is going to Afghanistan, did he ask to go there? I thought they were bring home our men and women???
Pam 6 months already how time flies. What is going on with Jamie, how long will he be in Italy?
Carrie, glad it is all worked out. I thoughts she asked to go, something different. I hope she can meet up with her friend that would be a lot of fun.
Hey y'all! Devin comes home this Thursday and gets to stay until the 15th! Then it's back to Italy for 3 weeks then back to the states to do special Army training until he leaves on Sept 24th for Afghanistan. While here for training he will be in VA, NJ and TX! talk about a lot of miles traveled...
He turns 22 on July 9th and we are having a huge party for him :0) All 5 of our kids will be home for it so it should be fun! We also have a couple of corpsman friends of Dev's coming down this weekend from North Carolina for the long weekend, my house is going to bursting at the seams but it will be so much fun! Kind of reminds me of when they were younger, we always had a houseful :0)
Hope everyone is going well! Carrie - any word on Amber's leave yet?
Carrie, what will she be doing there? She asked to go right? She was getting tired of the same old thing, if I remember correctly.
Stephen also was saying that he should get a month if he stays they but they are so short handed that he could not even take it now, whats going on there???
Sharon, Devin is coming home, that is so wonderful. How long will he be home for? How long has it been since you seen him?
Pam, there is so much to do out in Italy, Stephen has done so many wonderful things, I am glad Jamie is enjoying himself.
Carrie, sorry about Amber, you just never know maybe it will change for her. Is she coming home?
Oh Carrie - that would be a bummer! Devin comes home a week from today - can't wait! Didn't see too many pictures from the ball but what I saw they had fun. :0) It is quite the adjustment when they leave home isn't it Pam? Then when you finally get used to it, they come back! LOL We will have all 3 who live out of town home at the same time and of course the 2 that live in town will be over all the while with them. I will just get used to the chaos and next thing you know they are all gone again and I get in such a funk for a few weeks. Ah well, such is life!
Hope everyone is having a great week! Hugs!
Jamie is still enjoying Italy. He reaches his six month mark on the 28th of this month, so he's still a newby overseas! Him and a bunch of guys rented a boat over the weekend and had a blast snorkeling. We used to do that on the Gulf Coast when we went down for our beach vacation every summer. Everything is so different once the kids are grown! This is our first full year having Jamie out on his own, so it's been such an adjustment. I find myself thinking how much he would have enjoyed the things we're doing now... Crazy. At least I have my four year old to share new stuff with. She even wrote his name on the Father's Day card for him this year!
Carrie - Hope that works out for you. I would be so bummed if I had to leave!
