Whats going on who is going to Gitmo? Stephen was telling me that in June they will start to move the families out to new bases they wait until the kids are done with school and maybe then Stepen will hear whats going on with him. I think if he has to stay they should just tell him he has to stay, he is not sure what is going on.
How is everyone doing? My daughter graduated Sunday so it was a fun weekend.
It's the Mom in us. :) That's funny about the dogs because I got my dog after going for nearly six years without one. This was a year before I had Brooke and the dog was my baby. Spoiled rotten little pound puppy is what she really is!! But she's my welcome home party every night I get home from work since Brooke is usually in bed already. So funny!!
Have a great weekend everyone! We're heading to a lake in North Georgia to watch a wake boarding contest.
I can only imagine how hard it would be seeing kids in that environment.. My husband and I were talking of adoption when I ended up getting pregnant with my daughter, so I'm sure Jamie would send me a list also! We had Jamie and his brother when we were in our early twenties, so it was hard when, in a blink of an eye they were grown and we were barely 40. I had c-sections for all three, so there was definately no more for me. However!! Now we'll be mid-50s when Brooke graduates from High School. She's such a delight though. Just this morning, she came into the kitchen and told me that she missed Jamie and loves her brother. Yep, tears!
Carrie - if it is a deployment to Guantanamo they are almost always given a pre-deployment leave. Devin is coming home for the first 2 weeks of July for his pre-deployment leave. He leaves Italy in August too for his deployment but when he is done he goes back to Naples, doesn't Amber's time in Naples end this Nov/Dec? The flight home in July was $1200+ which in my opinion is really sucky, you'd think they'd offer a better discount to our military!
Bummer to be so close yet so far from each other for Amber and Justin! :0(
Try not to be too bummed, you're not in this one alone, my house is going to be quiet for the holidays as well, we will just have to get very creative with our care packages! Hugs!
