Carrie, Stephen told me that they told him (LOL) they have no money to move these sailors around. They told him two years and now he might have to stay all 4. It is not good if you are looking to stay in for 20 years. They told him he need a ship, well where in the bath tub, if they don't move him how is he suppose to get a ship. And to be honest Ithink he would love to come state side. Carrie I will keep your Marine in my prays also. I am glad Amber will be coming home for Christmas that will be amazing.
Pam yes they love Italy but then something else would be nice. Then when Stephen put in for CA, they told him he could not go across two oceans I don't think he knew that when he asked for Italy. Rules no matter where you go.
Ladies have a wonderful Wednesday!
Hi Sharon! How are things going?
Debbie - I'll keep Stephen in my thoughts and prayers. Does it ever get easy?
Carrie - Wow - they added another year? I think Debbie said it best when she mentioned that Stephen would like to see more of the world than Italy! Jamie has said although he loves it there, he'll be ready to leave when his time is up. Too expensive for him!!
Hi everyone! Hope everyone is doing good. I have all of our sailors in my prays and thoughts.
Pam, Stephen knew in a few weeks, I think it can take up to a months but probably sooner. That is nice about the baskets.
Please keep Stephen in your prays the Navy has sent him somewhere for two weeks and I don't know where he is.
Happy Friday!! Boy, this time change has me struggling this week. I need that hour back! Ha, ha. Jamie said he took the advancement exam and it was tough. He's only been in eleven months, so it was good practice for him. How soon do they find out if they advance?
Sharon - well wishes being sent to your husband. Some of these new age infections can be pretty scary - glad to hear he is on the mend.
Easter will be here before we know it, so l started assembling some baskets for Jamie, his Corpsman friend and a friend of ours that is Army Reserve stationed in Iraq for the next year. I miss the days of A School were I could send homemade brownies and cookies!!
Have a great weekend everyone!! It's going to be a beautiful one weatherwise here in Georgia. Spring has arrived!!
Hey ya'll - been a hectic week!
Dev is back to work and says they've been pretty busy, he's feeling much better too!
He is hoping to be deployed this year, I want to fly over there and smack him upside the head! Kind of an adrenaline junky that one! I think it has more to do with the fact that his 2 best buddies since boot camp are leaving Naples in April and he's going to missing them more than he admits to. He did mention that if he doesn't get to deploy on a ship or to the sand this summer he is going to come home for a week. Said the house has been all "Christmas'd up" the last 3 times he's been home and he'd kind of like to see it in normal mode and get to go out boating, fishing and skying for a change - gotta love that! LOL
All's well on the homefront, infectious disease Dr. told us last week that the surgeon had Frank on the wrong antibiotics for the first 2 weeks after his surgery and the infection was growing in his bone! So - now he is on a stronger IV every 8 hours now and an oral antibiotic twice a day and seems to be doing well, we shall see, it's added 2 weeks to his time off from work, will be 9 weeks when all is said and done and he is starting to get antsy! I guess the bright side is he still has his hand! :0)
Have a great weekend y'all! Keep our sailors in your thoughts and prayers, I have a feeling we are going to be seeing several more going to Japan here real soon...
