Hey y'all! Bless your military children on this Veterans Day!
Pam - my son is there for 3 years, will have 2 years left in December, I'm sure your son and he will get to know each other, he's a corpsman too, at the big hospital, works in surgery. He LOVES it there. And he's made the best of long weekends traveling about Europe!

Will he be coming back to the States Debbie? He is getting really close to leaving!I love skype and we used it the entire time he was at A School. He doesn't have as much privacy at Camp Pendleton so we haven't skyped in several weeks. I get lots of texts though. Do the kids have cell phone service in Italy? Comparable to here in the States where we can text? For some reason, I think it's different?

Carrie - You have two in the military? You must be so proud.

Pam Stephen has two years and will be leaving in April or May, he is already putting in for his next base. He has loved every minute being there. Your son will love it. Skype is the only way I got through it. Now you have a chance to go visit, Carrie and I have already been there, I loved seeing my kid it was almost two years. This week has been very had too a lot of tears I don't know why. We did have a service in Church the other day for the Veterans and they mention Stephen's name I had to leave. LOL I cried during the song, I cried during the flag going by could not help myself. LOL

Carrie best of luck to Amber she is going to love her new place.

I'm so glad I'm not the only emotional wreck that cries at the mention of anything Navy or military! Well, five weeks from today Jamie will graduate FMTB at Camp Pendleton and then start the count-down and process of heading "across the pond." Can you tell my mental, don't let it be, I'm going to miss him like crazy, internal countdown is going on? Ha, ha. I'm so excited for him, but it's still hard to think he'll be so far away!

He said that he is currently under a two-year contract for Naples. How long have your Sailors been or stayed in Italy? He said he can extend one year.

Amber should talk to Stephen, I had sent him so much for his new place where was beautiful but did not stay very long, the roommate got a girlfriend and it was not working out. Amber should talk to Stephen. He will not need a lot if he is going to a ship. He already told us the TV is coming to our house. LOL I told him to sell his car he told me it is too early for that, heshould try to sell it the beginning of next year, I am sure he could get a ride if he needs it. He can call Amber. LOL I am very happy for her, I wish her a lot of luck in her new place.

Talked to Stephen, he is feeling a little better he has a doctors appt. tomorrow (Tuesday). He is still waiting on his orders, he has to put in a call on the 10th so we will see. He sold his motorcycle already and he wants to get on doing whatever he needs to do to leave that base He put in for leave but is waiting to hear, he did not ask for Christams because he is a supervisor and the other supervisor asked him to not put in for Christmas because he is married with kids and want to go home so Stephen said ok, so he put in for the New Years leave which is like Dec., 27th until Jan something, I an not really sure. He said he is ready to come home. LOL I would love to have him home.
