FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Lol, my son did not care for the OC spray , ha ha, says he never to experience that again, but he survived ,and the sting goes away in about an hour and half.

Yes it's a whole new world being able to text and talk to them, I love it! Seeing him be able to interact again with his family and friends again on FB is awesome, felt like something was missing when he wasn't able to. And it's kinda weird but I don't guilty as much anymore going out to dinner or a movie etc..

My son arrived on Sunday. He's loving it so far and enjoying the little bit of freedom they have. I love that we've been able to text everyday! I still miss seeing him everyday, but it's amazing what a difference it makes to have that open line of communication!

My son says he loves it there also, especially nownthat he earned his phase 1 base liberty, they have gone to Sea World , the mall etc, normal stuff. Mow on to phase 2 this week, civilian clothing!
