PNM, you can ask, we live in Missouri in the St Louis area. His was only set back 6 days, not a big deal, but enough to miss the PIR. It was the PFA running that he had trouble with. But I'm with you, he's out of boot, and loving learning the MA job. He wishes now he would have waited for an active position to come up.

Yes Brenda thank you for the offer! @ PNM, when does your son graduate? My son's is Sept 16th. Do you know how many people they can have at the ceremony, we have 4, us 2 parents and 2 siblings, ages 16 and 7. I really want to go to the pinning, he did not get to participate in his divisions boot graduation because of a set back. I think it would be really cool if his dad got to put the pin on him since he is ex Navy (submarines).

@ Brenda THANK YOU that is a very nice offer ! @ Keger it is the best isn't it , my son is full active , we are going to the pinning because my son asked if I would do the honors I was pretty blown away when he asked I understand it is only about a 30 min ceremony but they do a family bbq afterward I thought that very nice , he will come home for a 10 day leave afterwards then off to his first duty station YIKES.

Hi, PNM, it all seems a better now that we can talk or text doesn't it? I love it.!  I am also very glad that he is happy and loves San Antonio. I don't know if we are going to the pinning or not, he is reserves and will be coming home after this school. I would really like to go though. He may not want to come home, he is having too much fun   LOL

For anyone driving to a MA pinning - just want to remind you that I live about 5 hours from San Antonio.  If you need a place to stop for the night, I have a guest room and bath (it is just decorated in a patriotic motif).  Just let me know!
