Wow Bobbie, I can't believe how time flies although when our Sailors are in BC it seemed to take forever. That is so good he will have family near him. Didn't he arrive at San Antonio a week after my son? Maybe they are room mates and we don't even know it!

Tyler's mom - my son did not go to MA school in San Antonio - but anyone could attend his ceremony.

EVERYONE is welcome to come to a TEXAS style packing party on November 21st in Beaumont, TX.. That is about 5 hours east of San Antonio. If you are there that Friday for a graduation - then the packing party would be a nice way to top off the weekend.

hurleyl8dy, that is awesome about being 4 1/2 hrs away!! and sounds nice for fishing! That is cool that they were probably friends! I can't wait to see him. Good luck to you and him!

junjens, My son will also miss it and the friends he made there. The friends he made are mostly reserves. He is not. I am sure our guys did watch/duty together at one time. Soon you will have him home!

CC0727, My son will be stationed at Kings Bay GA. Only a 4 1/2 hour drive from home and new fishing grounds for him!

hurleyl8dy - where will your MA be stationed?

hurleyl8dy, I know, it flew by for me, anyway. I know my son is going to miss MAA school and Lackland, he really enjoyed it. But I know he is looking forward to coming home! He is currently set up in the reserves and hasn't decided if he is going to try to enlist as active duty.
