There is a ceremony, but nothing at all with such pomp and circumstance as PIR - but still worth going to! Mine was in Virginia - go figure - I live in Texas (about 5 hours from San Antonio) - but I went and got to spend the weekend with my son. This was about 2 and a half years ago - wow, time flies!!

I remember you saying that in a prior post so I sent it United States Postal Service, I just hope he gets it ok because I left out a letter in the street name. Everything else is correct but minus one letter. The post office said he should get it by noon tomorrow.

I overnight express mailed my sons computer, phone, ect. It cost 80$ through USPS. I thought it would have cost more so it was a pleasant surprise!

Thanks for the info SusanA, he has been very nervous about this, more than anything so far. Maybe if you get worked up enough it won't be so bad when it actually happens, but it sounds pretty bad!

He went to the store on base when he got in and saw a back pack and said he was going to buy one. Now I need to mail his phone. I think I will overnight the phone and send his computer after. Any thoughts? Thanks all.
