Your not being difficult.  I was guessing.  Since we both found information on jag sites, I assumed he could phone or drop in there and they would be able to tell him where he could find help.

Has he asked at MWR.  There might be something set up near the NEX.

I'll ask him if he knows anything, the next time I can talk to him.

I have no idea why my text has suddenly gotten very large.  I feel like I am yelling.  LOL.

Post whatever you find out.  It will probably help someone else.

BTW, on the JAG site, there is a PDF that lists all addresses of people who can help you with your taxes, on all bases around the world.

Comment by Concernedad on February 25, 2013 at 2:18pm

Not trying to be difficult, but the only thing I see there regarding tax is this...

Income tax Self Help (tax season only)

Also says informational only. So they'll tell you that you can do it yourself, but not actually help you with it (at least that's my interpretation).

However, I will pass on the link to him. Thank you.

Your site is jag also and the address is the navy yard in Washington.  If you scroll down the site that I gave you they say they offer tax help.  It has a San Diego address and phone number.  They should be able to direct your sailor where to go to get help with his taxes.

Thanks, but that looks like legal. I did find some info here though...

Can anyone tell me where the sailors might get help with their taxes on base? My son is currently stationed on the dry side. TIA
