Events

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).  Still limited to 2 guests maximum.

Specific information on this policy change will be provided in the coming days and weeks.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support.

**UPDATE - 2020**

Due to COVID there is no public PIR. The graduations are on Thursday, and the video of the graduation is posted on RTC's FaceBook on Friday at approx 3pm. Please keep in mind that a division may need to complete additional quarantine during training which will delay their graduation.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Smidgee-I just found another page that a few people have recently posted on. Maybe it was the old page you were looking for?

San Diego Moms or Sailors in San Diego

Thank you Smidgee.  I just saw your comment.  My son loves it so far.  He's out for his first long underway right now.  Can't wait to visit!  I went 5 years ago with my husband when he had to go for work.  Loved it!

I've seen a lot of people post their sailors are off to SD so maybe the page will get going!

Hi coley423...this page has been quiet lately, perhaps because PIRs are not happening so we parents don't have the questions we usually do? Regardless, congratulations on your son arriving in SD. It's a great place (our daughter is currently stationed there) with lots to explore. The weather is just gorgeous too (we live an hour away...our daughter was not necessarily thrilled about being stationed so close to home, but she does love those SD beaches!) so I hope he grabs some friends and they get out to the beach soon!

Hi!  It doesn't look like this page is active, but just wanted to check!  My son just got to SD Tuesday.

Alison, my daughter has been there since August, also. She loves it there so much I'm afraid she'll never come back east! Lol She met another sailor in Great Lakes last year and he also is stationed in San Diego and they recently were married. We cant wait to meet him!

Hey!  My sailor is at NAS North Island for "C" school.  He has been there a month now.  Just 2 weeks in on school.  He seems to love it out there.  San Diego is on my list of places to go but I have never been there!

Son just got orders to join the crew on the USS Anchorage. Anyone else have family aboard?
