Seamen Recruits are here getting medical treatment for minor injuries. FIT DIV is also in this area.

It's hard not knowing! That is the purpose for this group. Most likely if you are here your SR has had trouble keeping up or not passed a PFA due to some sort of minor medical issue. Often it stress fractures bringing SR's here. Know this when you don’t get a call that is a very good thing. Calling them is not a good thing and it can negatively impact your SR to have his or her “Mommy“ calling!  They are harder on them in this DIV than any other. They want them up and out. The best thing you can do is sends tons of mail. Send scripture and motivational mail. I know my SR said reading the Bible was considered a sign of weakness here. When you get a tearful call motivate. Stay positive and encourage you SR. This is a small detour to greatness and getting the I'm a Sailor call!  Recruit family and friends…“Navy mom friends are the best“…to send your SR mail as well.  NMH for you all!!

Hi PNSCTNMom,

I'm glad you found the group!  The ladies here are wonderful, supportive and understand.

What happened with your son that he was in the hospital?

Many of our SRs are in RCU due to stress fractures.  My son reported to Great Lakes on December 12th and has been in RCU since January 17th with 2 stress fractures.

Thanks for the 'welcome' SharonW!  I received a call last night from my son stating that this was his new division after being released from the hospital yesterday morning.  As he was reading from a script and wasn't allowed to answer any questions I started doing some research which brought me to ya'll.  After reading through the pages of posts I have a better idea of what to expect going forward.

I'm sure at this point he doesn't have all of the answers but the information available in this group has answered quite a few.

What a wild ride this is!  Now off to make lemonade out of these lemons!

Almost forgot to 'welcome' PNSCTNMom to the group.  I received an email last night that she is now a member of ship4 div 2341.

Phillies, sorry to hear your daughter is still in THU and is having a frustrating time. Prayers that this challenging time will pass soon.

Jacque, I totally understand not wanting to post and just read.

Each of us has to work through our feelings about the setback(s) for our SRs.  I try each day to accept whatever happens with my son though I don't always like what is happening.  It is out of my control and all I can do is pray each day for his, and everyone in RCU, healing.

boomMom, my guy is a Nuke also though he will probably be in THU for a couple of months before he goes to Charleston for A school.  Do you know if your son's time in RCU will affect when he heads to Charleston?

Jill and boomMom, I am with you on the cleanliness thing.  It took me over a week to go through his room in part because I would start crying.  Despite my tears, I had to finish it as quickly as possible since we moved 2 weeks after he left for bootcamp.

My SR also mentioned the potential influx to RCU in the near future.  Well, that should be interesting for them.

Enjoy your day, Sharon

Oh, Phillies and baby girl! {{{{Phillies and daughter}}}} Not even done listening to it yet, but I feel your pain!

Oh, Lord, please give Phillies and her daughter the strength to pull through this tough time! And that goes for the rest of us. Amen!

Phillies, I don't understand. Where do I look it up? I'm praying for you and your daughter anyway, but please explain!

Patrick's Mom-praying that your Easter weekend reunion comes to fruition. Any news yet?
