Seamen Recruits are here getting medical treatment for minor injuries. FIT DIV is also in this area.

It's hard not knowing! That is the purpose for this group. Most likely if you are here your SR has had trouble keeping up or not passed a PFA due to some sort of minor medical issue. Often it stress fractures bringing SR's here. Know this when you don’t get a call that is a very good thing. Calling them is not a good thing and it can negatively impact your SR to have his or her “Mommy“ calling!  They are harder on them in this DIV than any other. They want them up and out. The best thing you can do is sends tons of mail. Send scripture and motivational mail. I know my SR said reading the Bible was considered a sign of weakness here. When you get a tearful call motivate. Stay positive and encourage you SR. This is a small detour to greatness and getting the I'm a Sailor call!  Recruit family and friends…“Navy mom friends are the best“…to send your SR mail as well.  NMH for you all!!

We will pray for good news. Ours was to see the dr. and have xrays last Wed. Haven't heard the results. Also, praying for good news. We should get a letter tomorrow. Yours is in Phase 2 now, right? I wasn't sure if our guys would be adopted or not. It really wasn't clear and our SR hasn't said anything. I am trying very hard not to think about him not being here on Thursday. Even though all our family will be here, it will not be the same without him. Praying for a great holiday for all.

He was supposed to see the doctor today to read x-rays they took yesterday. Hopefully he got good news & will be moving up a phase.

CoastalKat...  Thanks for the info. I was hoping for a call Sunday, but we didn't get one. I will make sure to hang around the phone tomorrow. How is he doing?

CoastalKat (Ship 09 Div 360): That's wonderful, I think they should be allowed to make a really long call since they are stuck there on Thanksgiving and can't be adopted ;-( through no fault of their own. It seems really unfair to me but, who am I LOL. Hope ya'll have a great holiday.

My SR has said they should be allowed a long phone call tomorrow, Wed, Nov 23rd. I guess for Thanksgiving. Just wanted y'all to know. That's barring any unforeseen circumstances... :o)

Tylersgrandma hang in there and fight the Navy. I was told by the Navy Dental Liason that I couldn't do anything. I am proving her wrong. Talk to people you never know who has connections. I wish I would have did that sooner for my daughter. I finally allowed a co-worker to give my daughter's info to her dad and while things are moving now. I didn't realize when she said he knew people ( I won't say where) that he could really kick things into high gear. I will keep praying for you and your grandson.

Tylers grandma: Its so good to hear from you, we have all been so concerned. I can't believe he is having to wait for anything you need to call your congressman and your senator right awya that's totally uncalled for, he should have had the surgery while he was there god bless ya'll. Make those calls and if you need back up you lets us know we will make calls too. No matter what we all became a family here good days or bad it doesn't matter. Support is what this site is all about. Prayers always and thanks again for keeping us updated. P.S. I think if my son did that just showing up stuff I would hug him first kick him second ;-)

Tylers grandma.... Good to hear from you. We will continue to keep your family and Tyler in our prayers. It sounds like he still has a long road to recovery. At least he has kept in touch with his friends and hopefully can lean on them for support. We are here for you. Please keep in touch good or bad.

Well, Its been a while. Tyler arrived home on November 1st. He didnt call and say he was coming, he didnt call and say he was on his way. He just popped up and there he was, grinning from ear to ear all decked out in his dress blues looking very handsome and 10 pounds lighter. I was on my computer and thought it was my husband coming in for something. He had one of his friends pick him up at the airport. I didnt know wether to be elated or upset! Of course, I was thrilled!

He hasnt accomplished much sense he arrived. We are awaiting Tricare certification so he can go to dr. Havent  recieved anything from GL sense he got home. None of his mail we sent or anything. Tyler is a different person than the one who left here. I was so afraid of that. He has temporarily shut down I think. He jokes to his friends and says every thng is great but he has been on too many muscle relaxers etc. and now there is no more. Thankfully. He has been looking for a job but there is nothing. I feel like they chewed him up and spit him out. I have not written sooner because I have been on a downer myself and thats not what you all need here. Im hoping after the holidays he will be better and when we can get some things going with his medical we will be better set to know just what he can do and wether they will do the surgery he needs or wait till the deadline so he has to pay for it himself. It is too bad that they dont give these kids medical discharges but they dont. They are on there own. If any one elses kids are injured, fight tooth and nail to stay in because you will tossed aside like an old shoe if discharged. I will write more later . I am going to back up and regroup and promise not to have a pity party. I am thankful that he is home and know that things will get better. It will just take time. Congratulations to Colton and Weston I wish them all the best of luck and moms, hankg in there!
