Seamen Recruits are here getting medical treatment for minor injuries. FIT DIV is also in this area.

It's hard not knowing! That is the purpose for this group. Most likely if you are here your SR has had trouble keeping up or not passed a PFA due to some sort of minor medical issue. Often it stress fractures bringing SR's here. Know this when you don’t get a call that is a very good thing. Calling them is not a good thing and it can negatively impact your SR to have his or her “Mommy“ calling! They are harder on them in this DIV than any other. They want them up and out. The best thing you can do is sends tons of mail. Send scripture and motivational mail. I know my SR said reading the Bible was considered a sign of weakness here. When you get a tearful call motivate. Stay positive and encourage you SR. This is a small detour to greatness and getting the I'm a Sailor call! Recruit family and friends…“Navy mom friends are the best“…to send your SR mail as well. NMH for you all!!

thomandker - WOW really - I truley do not understand the concept of not being able to be respectful or friendly with another person regardless of the sex. I certainly hope that things work out for both you and your recruit. I am just stunned and shocked right now.
Anyone in here Div 2381? That is what was on my last SR's letter. So worried about him....
Linden, soooooooooooo glad you were able to see your son! What a gift from God. My son is also in Groton, so hoping you'll join us Moms in the Groton group!
My son has been in GL since June 20! Has spent most of his time in RCU, since about a week into boot camp. Began with an injury to elbow then was part of the chicken pox quarantine. He was able to call every other Sunday! It was very hard for me to let go and let God, I finally did and realized what was meant to be would be!
Congratulations!!! I am so excited that you have a PIR date! That must feel AWESOME!!! I cannot wait for that call. Hold on...yes, I can. I have to trust that God knows what is best for my son...even if it means 8 weeks here. Grrr. Why is trusting so difficult?
So we got back from seeing our son in RTC and my Lord what a man he has become! We were truly blessed to be able to spend some time with him. He will be shipping off to Groton soon.
Ladies, keep faith in your sailors. Send your prayers, write letters and keep your head held high and your spirits up. You've raised them well. While they might be delayed in their journey for a moment, they will persevere and move forward.

Great News ... I have also heard from my daughter today... it was so great to finally here her voice. She has been moved up to phase three and will see the doctors again on the 14th.. this is good news she says and she is confident that she will be able to be moved up to phase 4 after that appointment. Her other issue seems to be somewhat under control, not totally to my liking but i was able to give her some remedies to try and told her that i would appreciate a letter in the next week with some updates...
It has been great having all of you to talk to and rely on during this RCU process. I could not imagine having her in there for that long thomandker,, kudos to you to be able to handle that... not sure that i could.
Leora, hang in there ok, our children our so much stronger than we could have imagined and your son will do fine. we are all here when you need us. I too did not receive any letters right away and was very worried, but then they start coming so just be patient.
