Just got a letter from my son.  Second letter!  He said he is doing great!  So nice to hear from him.

No Letter?  Me either BUT - it's not like they are sitting around playing X-box all day.  Stay strong, Moms.  Soon enough you'll be attending their PIR and having Sailors to brag about.  Send lots of cards (NO MUSICAL), letters, and notes of encouragement to them.  Mine should be entering week 3 or so - not getting any easier in their training so they need to hear from us more than we need to hear from them!!!  Not trying to sound mean, but they do  :-)

Attention 02/944, please go look on today's random pic and look at picture #3 of 11.  I'm not sure but I'm 85% certain I see my daughter.  Do you recognize anyone?

Texas! That's a cute nickname and reminds me of Forrest Gump. You know, when he's in Vietnam and talking about all the other guys in his group.

ADmom- you are stalking him lol and will be for the next several weeks. Maybe you could leave a note in the box and tell him if he brings letters from GL there could be a reward of cookies offered lol.

Our son is Jake. He told us on the form letter that everyone is calling him Texas. He sounded strong and that made us feel so much better. I can hardly wait for the letter. The mailman thinks I am stalking him:)
