What a sad day! My son's dog died early this morning. A beautiful golden retieiver named Shadow. We got him 12 years ago and he moved into our house a week before we were able to move in. We had to come out everyday to take care of him. It's really hard on my son since he hasn't seen him since July except through pictures. I wish dogs had a longer life span. At least he went peacefully and is now running through heaven - probably begging for attention!!!
Remember that episode from The Cosby Show where Denise comes home from college and spends 99% of her hometime with her friends? When she leaves her family treats her like she's not in the room? This is how I'm feeling.
Picked her up at 9:30pm Friday and have spent a grand total of 7 hours with her. Took her to the Ohio Renaissance Festival on Sat then she was off with her friend to spend the night. Sunday she slept in until Noon at her friend's house after staying up all night until 4am. She got up to get ready to run off with my mom and sister for the day (no, do not get along, family drama...), she got home Sunday night around 9pm dead dog tired. Today she got up at 6am to go into her old vocational school to go see teachers and her commanders from Navy JROTC (hubby took her in - said one thing has changed, she's more awake and alert in the morning compared to the few times he drove her in to school when she looked like the walking dead). LOL I'm feeling like Clair Huxtable.
It's funny to hear her complain how one of her friends did not give her another's correct address - jealousy their I believe. OH, the old high school drama with these three is starting again. In a way I'm thankful she will be thousands of miles away to get away from those two. No direction, no future, both going no where. One is just out of high school, already in an abusive relationship. Other I expect to be pregnant before she graduates this year. Yeah, it's sad for me to say this about these two but OH, THANK GOD for the NAVY!!!!
i dont think my son is bored! i have only talked to him once for about five minutes this past week! i know he is busy with classes, studying and watches. i am grateful for anything i get!!! it would be nice if he got a little bored!! LOL
Anita - Enjoy your time with her
Julie - Good luck to you
Tina - Got your picture. I will try to remember to send you one tomorrow. I have to get help from my daughter. I am so illiterate with the computer. And, yes, they have definitely become men. Although, I did get a call first thing yesterday morning and guess what I got to hear! "Mom, I'm bored" God, I thought I was past having to hear that. Then I got the same call yesterday afternoon because his IPOD went on the fritz!
