Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

tygerh--hopefully he has friends to hang out with!   maybe his school will start sooner than he thinks.  things are always changing in the military.  does he have inspections and pt?

Mine is still on hold at Great Lakes awaiting school to start. He also eats cleans and chills out. But today he started working out.

My son is sooo bored in Pensacola.  He says he does nothing but eat, sleep, and clean.  Wish he had cleaned when he was home!!  Oct 22 is such a long way off for him especially in a place that is unfamiliar to him.

Oh yeah...I saw that one...TOO funny!!! But it also makes me remember where I was not long ago. I don't think I would have asked about holidays off during boot camp, but hey! LOL

These people have NO IDEA this is the military...not the private sector.   Sometimes I really feel sorry for some of these people.  Not a clue...

sheshe - don't be surprised if he gets a letter about damaging gov property...NO JOKE!  I know a guy, Army - was playing basketball, broke his wrist - got a letter about him damaging gov property (himself).  Crazy...

Hello all mine in Pensacola no school yet but in working out every day or so to keep in shape and enjoyed the mall on sunday got some clothes getting ready and hoping school starts soon  got top score on inspections  sorry about his hand hope does not hurt to bad  and heals fast

Mine busted his pink playing Ball. Has full hand cast. But its removable. Has not classed up yet. Still cleaning. Getting Care pkg ready.
