Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Tina41 that's awesome you are so right its nice to have some one from the same PIR group. I find it a little intimdating because everybody already know everyone and I feel like an bit of an outsider. Its like starting a new wchool in the middle of the years.

In celebration of the 236th Navy Birthday and Naval Station Centennial, the Navy Ball will be held at the Lincolnshire Marriott Hotel and Resort on Friday, 14 Oct 2011. Tickets are now on sale!

Prices are: E7 & Senior - $40/Civilian - $35/E5-E6 - $30/E4 & Junior - $20
Entrées will be Steak, Salmon or Chicken.
Hotel rooms are available at $99 per night. Contact the Marriott for details.
Childcare is available via CDC @ $5.00 per child fee additional
... Uniform for the event will be: Military - Dinner Dress Jacket or Service Dress Blues. DoD/Civilians: Formal Dinner attire.
Transportation will be available from the visitors center and the Relocation Office (corner of Cavin Dr. & Green Bay Rd) in Forrestal Housing.

I think some of us will always come here to see what's going on with everyone...which is great!  I'm on a page for the USS George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier and meeting new friends but you guys will always be "golden" to me  :-)

 

Now enjoy going to RTC's site and watch others go nuts over those contests.  LOL

well i guess it is time to move on i will also miss all of you thanks for the support we had a up and down weekend just got home   my father in law died as we were entering the gate for PIR made it through pir got home and down to louisiana funeral and just as the funeral ended his  brother died same town so we have just lighted wanted to thank all of you and my sailor too
