Amen to that, it is all the worry and wonder. I will for sure let all know. She is so motivated, her letter today was a little blahh, but I did speak to her on the phone yesterday so I know she will be ok.

Tobianne - great news! Let us know when you get the "sailor" call. I just know that the run was passed with better than 7 seconds shaved off!!! Finishing bootcamp is huge for all recruits BUT moms who have never had to deal with an injury setback may not understand what a monumental achievement it is for our "kids".

Hi ladies, I got a call from Kayla. She has 7 seconds to shave off her run and then BS-21 tomorrow or Thursday night. She is ready and wants out.

Sounds good Karen. I originally had reservations for the Ramada so I am aware of their Meet and Greet.

Tobianne~that is very admirable of your daughter to help a fellow recruit out like that. I'm glad she seems to be doing better also. It doesn't sound like long before she's ready to run again. Thank you for the well wishes. I wish your daughter and your family all the best of luck also. Keep us posted on your daughters status.

Mrssauce, my birthday was the 29th (yes, I turned 21 again! haha), so hearing the news about Chris getting back into a new division was the best birthday gift I could have ever recieved. I am so excited for him to continue his journey, because for a short while there, I wasn't even sure he was going to stick it out. I will let you know as soon as I find out what division he's in. It would be so neat if our boys wound up together again. I could then get to meet you in person :). The Ramada hotel has a meet & greet for the families of the graduates the evening before graduation. Didn't know if you guys were aware of this when the time comes for your recruits to graduate. And anyone is aloud to attend, you don't have to be staying at the Ramada to attend. BTW, mrssauce, I recieved your email this morning, and yes I cried. Thanks for sharing! Please keep us posted on Shauns status.

Karen, my son's letter was dated Fri., August 28th and he said Chris was granted full duty the day before. I was thinking they could possibly be in the same division again also.We will see. Just depends on my recuit's stage 4 success.

that is wonderful news Karen. When one is able to get back, it helps the rest that want to also see that it is possible.
Kayla said she could have been gone most likely this past Friday, but she was helping and encouraging another female recruit that was having even more issues with her run. Kayla has been moved to the fit section, she is also having a problem with jaw pain. This is from stress and clenching her jaw a lot. She says however while there you keep going and do what you have to to get out of there and finish. She is trying to be the friendly face to all new since yes, the depression and kids not caring are like a virus there.

Soon you will be hearing those long awaited words and be on your way to see him PIR.
I wish Chris and your family the very best of luck.

Thanks for confirming Chris' status mrssauce, his girlfriend had gotten the call from him. I was on vaca and so all the info I got was second hand from her (she is 17 yrs old, LOL). She knew he was being moved but wasn't sure exactly when, so I wasn't positive if they actually moved him yet or not. She did tell me not to send anymore letters to ship 6, but that he would write asap to let us know his new division. I believe Chris has about 5 to 6 weeks left of BC before he will graduate, maybe Chris and your son will end up in the same division, since your son was further along when he was injured. By time your son is ready to join a new division, maybe Chris' new division will be where your son left off? Chris was in RCU just over a month, I didn't hear anything from him about losing any weight, hopefully for his sake, he hasn't. He was on the skinnier side before he left for BC. That is awesome that your son has made it to stage 4. I'm really happy for him and you. He will hopefully see the light at the end of the tunnel now! I know what you mean about reinjuring themselves, I pray that Chris' foot is totally healed. I hope he didn't push himself too hard just to get out of ship 6. I know he hated it there. He said people are so depressed there, and that some people just don't care and some fake injuries just so they can be sent home. The ones who want to make it out of there, need to stay away from all the negativity that's in ship 6. Find recruits they click with, and encourage and push one another to succeed. I'm assuming that's why our boys knew each other, they both have the will and determination. I will continue to stay in touch with you all, I know what you're all going through and you were all there for me. All I can say is I along with many of my family and friends did a lot of praying and wrote a lot of encouraging letters.

Hi Karen, I got a letter from my son today and he said Chris had been moved to a division. Yay! My son started Stage 4 today but he said it could be 10 days to 3 weeks before he is moved depending on his progress. His biggest fear now is reinjuring himself but he has done so well with his physical therapy and I figure each day brings more healing. I also think the physical therapy has made him stronger. He said he has lost 10 pounds just being in RCU and doing the therapy.
