FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Thanks Cheryl, the church singles group sounds like a good idea, although around these here parts, many of the church's singles group are mostly women and very few men. Yes, I'm definitely VERY careful when I date no matter where/how I met the guy. Particularly though if he's an online meet.

Haven't we all met alcoholics, the crazy married guy trying to score and Larry the Loser guy out in the general population?! Sign of the times. BTW, how was the book? Did you like it?

Jon, hope you get a call this week from your son and it helps you to hang on for a while longer!

Hey Lauren ~ good for you to get out there on Match.com! My friends and I have met really nice folks through the online services. Just beware of computer guy, you know the one who is always on the prowl, even after he swears he in a relationship with you but you notice he's still dating. Love if there were a legit Christian dating site that I could look into. Any suggestions?

I bowled back in the day ........I had my achillies tendon replaced so that is our for a long time.........but you are right it can be fun and doesn't cost bunches....

WOW Cheryl .what airline is it .maybe we can all write letters and tell them we won't use them.I love Southwest ...my sister , niece, and her two children were here visiting one time ......"and being true to our family............lol" they didn't look at their tickets and I took them a day late to return home.........Southwest didn't miss a beat they got them on the flight a day late and not any extra charge......we could not believe it .............I'll send an email to the airline letting then know why I won't use them.....I'm glad you are enjoying the book
Jon just a little up date I bought the book "act like a lady, but think like a man" (I think that is the Title).anyhow we are sharing it and writing our comments in it .you are welcome to join us and get on the reading list.......would love to hear what a guy thinks about the book

I'm lauren and I have a son on a sub , but his best friend is a corp man and getting ready or has just left to go over
This group has been quite quiet, but the are great so I'm sure they show up to say hi soon.

And everyone else where are you and what is going on ..............I got my cast off and I put the crutches in the closet, and although I have to use the walking cast for school and any big walking days ...I now have a smaller splint for just hanging out , so things are looking up after 3 years

Hi evry1 I just wanted you all to know that I have shipped the book to Cheryl and remember that when you mail it, tell them it is media mail and it will only cost about $2.50
