FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Congratulations :) A school graduation is not like PIR, it takes about 10 minutes for them to hand out certificates then they spend about the next 20 taking pictures!

Your son will have access to the professional photos which are taken at graduation.  Have him email the photos to you!

My son graduated from A school yesterday...Hooyah!!! I was not able to attend :( I wish their was a website where they would post pics of graduation like the rtc fb page...

Bev,  I know, Im afraid its going to be AWFUL.. My son's sinuses are all cleared up..Hot n Humid doesn't agree with him... but dry and hot doesn't agree with me.. Im better in hot n humid.. weird . msg me what ship ur daughter is on..

yea ... IT IS NOT normal for us this early... usually hits in AUGUST...  its crazy...  YAY you that they go to SD occasionally... my son got perm duty in SD .. he's a happy boy...

Smart kid;-)! I did not realize u guys get temps like AZ, is that normal for u? Absolutely he couldn't be in a better place weather wise as well as things to do and have fun! Hopefully you get there fairly often 2! Wish my daughter would have been stationed there...only 5 hr drive instead of 24...lol! But they appear to go there occasionally so had time with her last month also...go me!
