Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

SPYDER013..... yea he keeps telling me how awesome it is there... ( im originally from california) so i know how lovely it is...i sent him a text of the temp gauge in my car yesterday... it said 111 degrees....(yea its hot in kentucky).. he said Im stayin IN SAN DIEGO ...LOL

Barbydahlzz....it is hard when we don't get them home and frustrating that it takes so long for things to happen:-(....but u are really lucky that's he's in san diego because its so nice there. I am up visiting dau in WA right now...24 hour drive time........lol! Lots of beautiful cool weather...52 right now and rain!

well, my STGSN has been thru A school.... graduated last MAY ...  still has not been authorized leave...  and now out of time since OPS school starts in july.. so said he gets leave when he transfers duty stations in september. he left home last november... saw him for a day at PIR...  missin my sailor...

CRSMom- they're orders to Whidbey Island. They don't go on warships, it's basically a shore duty they're not on ships often.

he's excited...hahha   went thru petty officer indoc classes this week, taking the exam in september
