Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Yes he did. I took 3 or 4 hours to transision to main side then he was free (during the day) till Monday AM.

no they attend ATT at great lakes then goto San Diego

your son will PIR at great lakes then "go across the road" and goto basic electonics shool called ATT then goto San diego for A school. My great grand son in A school now

My son just finished his first deployment as an stg. He did A school in San Diego. He enjoyed his time thete but did a lot of waiting for A school to start then for C school. San Diego is a great place to be and a great place to visit.

My daughter was in san diego..it was perfect for runing over on the weekends;-) god luck to all of u!

my sons PIR is on 4/27/12...he is going to be an STG. does anyone know if he goes to A school in San Diego? or stays in Great lakes?

No, they register it and keep it in their rooms.  make sure to get a sticker for it.
