couple of questions:  What airport did your STG sailors fly out of after graduation?  Wondering if it's Midway or O'Hare.  Also, I know the normal rule is a Saturday morning departure, but I'm hearing rumors that some are staying till Sunday now.  Any input on that?  I have already made my flight arrangements through Sunday to be safe, and I'm hoping it's not for nothing.  And hoping not to hear my husband grumble about that.  LOL.

Well, I thought I heard them say CD; I could have been wrong. But I'm dying to know exactly where they pick them up, cuz my sailor is vague about stuff like that. I need to tell him. :)

My son got a group and individual photos  I never saw or heard about the cd.  The group is the same size as the pir photo.

They kept having to run out for more chairs; there were 4 rows of 6 or 7, so maybe it was more than 20. Does anyone know where they pick up the CD's? My sailor is giving me the run-around. If I tell him exactly where to go. . .

I was the only one who attended my husband's A school graduation, because I already lived out here with him so I didn't have to travel for it! They stuck a chair in the corner for me and I felt like the kid who was in trouble in school lol.

Boy this site has sure gotten active.  My sailor is home now, he is leaving for his new assignment tomorrow in Washington.  He laughed when I told him 20 people showed up for the ceremony.

The official pics are available to your sailor on CD. I'm not sure where they pick it up.

I just happened to be in town, so I went to A school grad also. There were about 20 of us and the Chief said that was the biggest attendance ever for the ceremony. Don't come all the way from NC; the Sailors don't expect it. It was pretty cool, of course. They take away your cell phone and camera when you walk in.

I went to a graduation at Point Loma.  It was great.  Not many parents come ( we were the only guests) and we were treated like VIPs It is a very short ceremony and photo op and then they have to report to holds and do paperwork unless they are reporting immediately.  Message me if you have questions.
