Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

We will see.. I will stay in the dark but as long as he is doing good I will keep my head uop cause it will work out the way it is meant to be. Thank you ladies for a little insight as to what might happen but telling me what your Sailors have done.

Question: My husband sent me a letter today saying he was going to go to school at Great Lakes. He is STG and for I have known was he was going straight to SanDiego, but now its GL. I don't know why, how long, or what he is going to school for there. If anyone knows who has been thru this please let me know.

Thanks for the info will have my son check out Southwest asap. He has put in his chit, waiting for approval, good to know SW helps military and makes changes no charge. Looking forward to having him home for the holidays.

Hi all, I am looking for advice on airline tickets for holiday travel, anyone have any recomendations on which airlines give military discounts, and getting refundable tickets, long expensive flight from SD to Ft. Lauderdale, FL thanks

Thanks Bev, it must be so tough on your daughter after going to school and being excited about doing your job to pull Galley time, good to know its only temporary, if my son gets that it will be tough he has never done more in the kitchen than heat up some mac n cheese lol

Just have to share this, my son is graduating A school tomorrow 3rd in his class!!!! So proud of him, now comes the wait to see which C school he gets. Re sending a Birthday cake, can it be delivered to the base?

home made cookies are always a hit! YOu also could order a cake for him by googling the city and bakeries. Some deliver, I think
