I am sure that everyone is aware of the sailor attached to the Ronald Reagan who lost his parents and his brother in a car accident while they were on there way to see him return from deployment, in sasn diego. If anyone hassuggestions how we as navy family can help this sailor please suggest. All prayers and suggestions are welcome.

I was not aware of this.  How sad; I'll be praying for this sailor.  Does he/she have other family?  Maybe we could send this sailor cards or Navy Moms could adopt him.

From the USS R. REAGAN MOMS, here is information for the sailor whose family was killed:

"For flowers –

Jody's Flowers 903-667-4321 or

Bunn’s Flowers and Gifts at 903-856-2691

Address to send cards and condolences –

Sean Reynolds, 397 C.R. 4114, Pittsburg, TX   75686

The funeral plans are for Sunday.  He is doing well and his buddies are sticking close to him.  He is no longer assigned to the Reagan.  He has been given a new assignment that will allow him to stay close to home for a while.  Thank you for your continued support through prayers and thoughts."

I think it is awesome that the Navy is reassigning him closer to home now.  Never thought anything like that would be possible.  Hard to imagine what he is going through right now.
Thank you for the address.

I'm sending a card to, and some $ - I have no idea if there is a financial need, but funeral costs are always shocking, and I'm thinking that any little bit extra will help.

I do wish there was a way that we can keep track of him, because after the initial shock wears off, and we all send our initial cards, what happens a few months from now? Christmas? Birthdays? Mother's Day and Father's Day? It would be great if we could continue to remember him - really "adopt" him as one of our boys.  I'm just not sure how that works in real life.

That is a great idea kendrasue!  Wondering if he has any other family!

I had the same thought.  It would be great to keep in contact with this young sailor.  Like you said, Christmas, birthdays, etc.  Great idea.  Doable??

Maybe Kaye can make a "page" so his contact information stays front and center?

Or Kaye - maybe the next time you talk to the Uncle (maybe after the shock starts to wear off), you could ask him to join N4M and post us updates occasionally?

(And btw, thank you Kaye for being a point of contact here, you've made it much easier for us to send our support).

Has anyone heard anything about Sean in the past few weeks?
Hi - has anyone heard anything further?  The holidays are comming and the next few months are going to be even more tough for this young man.

Any news on this sailor?
