All bases are on lockdown, but I am sure that is temporary. RTC has stated that all is okay for PIR on Friday!

You may want to check out the FB page for RTC....I thought they posted earlier that PIR will take place as scheduled this weekend.

It is sad that what I am seeing in our streets looks very much like what we see in the news when people rejoice over death and injury to Americans.  I am glad we no longer have him to worry about, but there are many others out there like him and we are feeding the fire against Americans.  These are very trying and scary time.  Pray for our country and out service men.

Welcome to danelover22!  I have sent you a friend request! I am in Richardson!  I am glad the terrorist is dead, but I too don't like the "frenzy" that was encouraged to occur in the streets (we should not copy that behavior). Having grown up with a Father who fought in WWII for the RAF and the USA, I learned to not rejoice about deaths of our enemies... it will probably come back to "bite" us. Scary times, we all need to be praying for our people and troops not at home in the States, and even we need to be diligent!  Blessings!

My grandson called last night and said they were briefed yesterday and were told that Great Lakes is on lock down.  Non military will not be allowed on the base because of the high secuity alert .  All this because of what happened over the weekend.  Hope it is lifted before Friday PIR-would be said that they new sailors would have no family to watch their PIR

Good Morning! My son is currrently deployed on the Carl Vinson. I live in Plano and would love to have "buddies" in the area! I have been reading the current blog and while I do revel in the satisfaction that Bin Laden is dead, I don't harbor any hate, for anyone. Life is way too short for that. May God bless our service men and women and may he also uplift the lives of everyone, everywhere!
