Fiona, did you get the email I sent you the other day?

My grandson made a quick turnaround trip home. Slept most of the time and had a pretty bad drive up and back. 3 + hours to get back yesterday. The rain is so bad here with flooding etc. We may have to drive down and pick him up Friday because his car isn't running right after going through so much water.

Good idea to post on the USS Comstock...that's where our sailors are, but good information from all.  If there is a family day, I guarantee we will be there. I'll be crying more than at his PIR.

While our Sailor is home he needs to apply for a US passport. He's headed back to San Diego Wednesday and has to report in on Thursday. The Navy is hosting a big dinner (steak) for them at the Hard Rock Cafe Thursday night. He said people were dressing up. He has enjoyed hanging around all day and eating all the food he doesn't get on board. It's the only time he comes out of his room. He's loving being home. Just having some room feels good. He said the ship does move and you can get tossed around so prepare your sailors for possible sea sickness. What rates are your sailors? What are there jobs?

Hello Ladies. Hope your Holiday was a wonderful one. So much to be thankful for. We have our Sailor home on leave right now, but he's busy spending time with his friends. He's doing well and every time we see him we can see the difference in maturity. He'll be back in San Diego next week. The ship goes out for 10 days in December. Will keep in touch.
