I am do anxious as well. Went today and had a sign made since I am not artistic. My son called me yesterday and he is getting excited as well. He is looking forward to their next port. I think he wants off the ship onto some dry land , something that is not rocking and rolling!!!! I get butterflies knowing it is such a short time to that hug!!

Getting really excited now!!!

Can't wait to see that ship come in!  We're in the home stretch finally!!!!!!! I think my daughter in law is making signs - but I'm not sure I'll be able to hold the sign and take pictures and watch for my son all at the same time!  Somehow I have a feeling the "watch for my son" part is going to win out.

Hi everyone, I will also be "smothering" my son and I think he will actually like it even if he won't admit it.  I have gotten emails and texts from him.  Texted me today a Happy V Day...I was so touched..and he is starting a count down...24 days!!!  He told me they showed them the families on base making signs for their homecoming.  I am going to check into getting him a banner made.  If not I will make a sign when I get to Florida.

To Kmarie - I also heard about the candlelight vigil and am awaiting the email about the outcome of the meeting.  Also if you come up with a meet and greet, we would be interested if we can make it with getting there and all.  Will be coming to Jacksonville on Friday.  Please keep us informed.

Jenmack I won't laugh at all. I think the sailors will be laughing at their colleagues. Also, I did get an email from my son today. So emails should be working.

kmarie: You will not be the only mother that will hug your son tight! I will be right with ya!! I can't wait!! I probably will cry too so if you see me don't laugh! lol
