Hope everyone has a great weekend!

RED, WHITE and TRUE

The fabric of our Flag is more
than ever meets the eye.
It wraps our very heart with love,
and cloaks us when we die.

Money will buy a replica,
to fly upon a pole;
but the real flag cannot be bought.
It's earned with our soul.

There's nothing like the feeling
we share with our fellowman,
as it guards our freedom
given us by God's own hand.

It's what makes a Mother weep
even though she bursts with pride,
a wife and children filled with dread,
a Father's tears he cannot hide.

The world can't understand it.
They're not as blessed as we.
America is not just a place --
it's an idea that keeps us free.

The cost is more than worth it.
That's what we believe is true.
We give our young again and then
Freedom is their gift to me and you.

I may not have much left,
but what I have I'll give
to see this Flag continue to fly
over this great country where we live.

Hey EVERYONE, wanted to pass on some advice the postman gave me. When I was filling out the "customs" form in box "5" I had checked "merchandise". He asked me if I was selling the items in the box, and I said no, and told him it was just a "care package". He crossed off "merchandise" and said to mark "gift" instead, otherwise Customs would assume it contained items I was selling, and would warrant "further inspection" thereby delaying delivery. Just wanted to pass his tip on to everyone, as I know we want our boxes of goodies to arrive as quickly as possible.

heatherrose...Kelcie said she felt it also, but didn't know what it was at the time. She said she was doing laundry, and the machines started "dancing around". Guess that's how you describe a "seaquake" lol.

heatherrose....it must have been signifigant, for him to have felt it while at sea. We are in California, so earthquakes are pretty common. Not particularly where we live, but do feel ones that are centered around "Mammoth". We are in the Yosemite area of Calif. I'll have to ask Kelcie if she felt it.

A U.S. military member is missing their family while caring for yours. In the minute it takes you to read this, military members all over the world are saving lives. It's Military Appreciation week....Repost if you are a military member, love a military member, hold memories of a Fallen Hero, or appreciate the military.... God Bless Them... All!

Sharon Barber......you out there? My daughter said to look you up. Your son is her partner. She said he is a really good guy. She said almost all of her friends moms are on N4M :>)

Oh, I'm sure she will. She has lost weight since getting to Yokosuka, and she loves it! Besides, she's not much of a cook, so will undoubtedly use goodies as bribes for future meals when they get back to port :>)

Tell her she can share.

Hey, we gotta keep these kids supplied right? I know, Kelcie told me not to send to much at once, cause of the limited space. I use the fixed rate boxes, which aren't to big, but it's to expensive to ship stuff otherwise.
