Lala is right. The brother divisions are numerical, but not the 800 and 900 divisions. They don't have brother divisions unless there are two 900 divisions or two 800 divisions in the PIR group (happens but it is rare).
59 and 60 are brother divisions, KIM. And, yes, your SR knows as they train together and will do BattleStations together.
your recruit would know who their brother division is. And, I believe they are usually in numerical order except for the 800 and 900 divisions. For this group 053 and 054 are most likely brother divisions and 055 & 056 and so on. I'm not sure but the 800 and 900 divisions may also be brother divisions. You have lots of time left so I would ask them that in your next letter. Or since they are much better at sharing info on a questionnaire maybe you could add that question to the next one you send. Thanks ladies for the ribbon orders this morning. I look forward to making ribbons for you :-)
I believe parent involvement always plays a role in all children's lives even "adult" children. However, I'm hearing that our group doesn't have any awards or flags and there are a few of us on this site and sending lots of encouraging mail etc. Maybe they will step it up soon and gel as a unit! Should all of us on this site wear the same color scarf like mentioned by Kim and Lala? That would be ok with me too.
Alicia...I am up for the scarves idea. Anyone else from Ship 12 Div 053? We can plan our color. Happy New Year everyone. Stay safe!
We are going out for the day so I will check back tomorrow.
I think the scarf thing is awesome! A great way for everyone to identify their division. I brought it up to our group and see if we can get it going!
Thank you FTLW!
Arwen, that is so sad! It is weird that they would have no representation on here and didn't well at BC. Sad. :(
Lala, I like the idea of the whole PIR group wearing the same color so we know who is from N4M's. How do you know who the brother group is? Would my SR know that?
Have a great day ladies. Off to redo my kitchen cupboards. (Refinishing, UGH)
Yes, as Arwen said, so so sad that all ladies are not a part of this site. My son never told me about it (some recruiters pass out the info). I happened to google search for support when he was in bootcamp and found it. Thankfully!
Please share this site with those you may meet at the Ramada MeetNGreet (not sure those not on N4Moms know about Sarge's MeetNGreet). One PIR group printed out business cards with N4Moms info and passed them out at the MeetNGreet and PIR. The ladies were so appreciative. They still need N4Moms past bootcamp! It is a wonderful support group!
Good Morning all!
I agree Arwen and I will add something about that with the scarves. Some PIR groups choose to do this and the whole PIR group goes with the same color so that they know they are all from N4M's. They do this because some Div's are only represented on this site with 2 or 3 members and they wouldn't really stand out in a crowd. And, since many of you in this PIR group have already ordered ribbons to wear as well you can do both. Last winter a whole PIR group did white scarves and wore the ribbons on their scarves. If you want to do the scarves and do different colors maybe you could do them one color for brother DIV's that way there are a few more people wearing each color.
My son's PIR group had 9 divisions, and one division (Div. 102) never was represented by even a single parent or girlfriend, while other divisions had more than 15 parents here on N4M.
Sadly enough, the division without N4M representation was also the division that got the least number of awards and flags at PIR. I always wondered if there was a connection between those two things.
I'll put the Maps of RTC up now for you! It'll be in the Discussion Forum.
