Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Thought about all of you ALL day and especially the 01/20 group and Christophers family today. Snuck some peaks on phone in the bathroom!

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on January 20, 2012 at 9:37pm: They will have a Sailor standing by a sign with the DIV number on it right in front of the section where each division should sit. The 900 divisions families sit right next to the honor recruits. The honor recruit families sit in the section has has the blue padded seats right near the center of the PIR hall. The 900 division Sailors do not line up and march in like the other divisions. They are made up of the band, choir, drill team and flag corp as well as those who work behind the scenes.
