Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". Comment by Lani on January 20, 2012 at 3:59pm: I received 4 letters today!!!!!!! He gave me a date of Battlestations. I'm so excited. I remember reading a post not to put the date up. What do I do with it????? They took their pictures on the 13th and we were supposed to get a call on the 17th, but I guess the division messed up:(

Now the snow is finally melting today but we are getting freezing rain tonight. Rare ice storm warning has been issued for Seattle. :( Praying that the mail comes today and brings me a letter from my husband.

Won't be long now for you all!

1 degree in GL today and expecting lots of snow...ouch for the PIR group celebrating this morning. Please say a prayer for them and for SR Christopher Walker. He would have been celebrating with his family today. Instead they will be laying him to rest this afternoon.

If you go to the following page, there is a discussion group that FTLW started in memory of Christopher. Please feel free to leave your condolences there for the family. His fiance, and maybe Mom (not sure), were a part of N4Moms. Here is the link to the page:
