Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

We aim to please. Or should I go with, Our seaman shoot straight?

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on June 13, 2012 at 6:07pm

Hi I am Lala, a mom who has been on here for 2 years helping out like Diannep and FTLW and some others. I must say I cracked up when I saw the name. :-)

FTLW, et al....invite them all! From all corners of the 7 Seas! Either that or I'm going to have to start Shanghaiing them.

Comment by Concernedad on June 13, 2012 at 6:05pm

Is that manly enough?

Comment by diannep on June 13, 2012 at 5:50pm

Concernedad:  Now...you need a very "manly" pik to substitute for that silly silhouette pik.  Something that truly represents this group!  Just remember that the site is "G" rated when making your selection!  :-)

Great idea!  I'm another N4Moms veteran, like FTLW.  My son arrived at bootcamp back in 2009.  I'm one of the "crew" that stays on the PIR sites to help out.  So...hoping that the other "dudes" find you guys.....we'll try to get the word out about this group!

Ahem....yes, the title of the group....well, that actually may be the "carrot" the will bring the masses!  Craig definitely needs to be a member here!

Okay...I posted the link for you! Oops...forgot to mention the beer!

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on June 13, 2012 at 5:23pm

Concernedad - A mom here...can I give you an "assist" (I've been watching the Hockey Playoffs! LOL)

I can post the link for you on BC moms...New Members, every PIR group ( I am on them all). Do you know how to do that too? If not I can give you step-by-step directions. Let me know!

You can also click the "Invite" button there on the top right  next to where your Username is in the last left column to invite those from external sites and personal emails. I have never actually done it but will try to mess with it to "see what it does". LOL

Glad you started the Group! Here's a cold one!
