OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmust importance. Please take the time to read the Opsec and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names are never allowed on this site. Good morning to all! Countdown is upon for many of us. Days to just a few short weeks for many. And we are not even talking about Christmas... hahahaha! I, as many of you, have sooooo much to do. I just was informed that we are having my husbands family (entire bunch) for Christmas supper and gift giving extravaganza! yesh! Like I don't have enough to do already- planning a big party/ meal was not in the mix. Oh well, somehow I will pull it off- I hope! I just feel rotten that my SR will not be here. Not gonna dwell on that- just glad that he will get to come home for a few days and we will have OUR personal family Christmas when he is home( our older son will be home too). I am such a blessed mom!  Have a wonderful Monday!

Christmas is the season for kindling the fire of hospitality in the hall, the genial flame of charity in the heart.  ~Washington Irving

That is wonderful Nate's Mom. It is heartwarming for a mom to know that her Sailor is being taken care of and getting a good hug when they can't be home with us :-)

I will be subbing in  a 4th grade class today so I hope you all have a good day. I will be back this afternoon.

Keep smiling PIR is getting closer and closer :-)

Nates Mom, that is wonderful!  Will your group be at GL hosting Christmas dinner for the soon-to-be-Sailors?  I understood 12/29 PIR SR's are not elgible for adopt-a-sailor program.  I am confused! (which is nothing out of the ordinary!)

ALL: HAPPY MONDAY!  12/29 is drawing near.  Are you ready? Travel arrangements complete? A set or two of civilian clothes packed for your SR?  Their cell phone? They can have it at A school.  Laptops? Contacts?  Speaking of contacts - I read where you can send your recruit their eye contacts for PIR.  Just clearly mark the outside of the small packet Eye Contacts and solution, PIR 12/29. If you mail today or tomorrow they should get them in time. HAVE SUPER WEEK AND HUGS TO ALL!

Fantastic, Nate'sMom!  Must give you so much joy to ---give so much joy to the SRs! :-)   I know there will be some very happy ladies on this site looking to see if their SRs were some of the honored guests!

Nate'sMom that is so awesome!  What a wonderful way to celebrate your Christmas.  I can imagine how many happy faces you see that day.

A reminder that SARGE had his IPhone stolen and lost some contact info.  If anyone on here had contracted with him for transportation during PIR weekend, please call/text him your info again.
