For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but discouraged as their RDC's read this site and can easily match them up with their "mom". His lips, neck ( i know weird) is the same. i will have to wait and see. Its just that I have already book my hotel for the PIR on 1/6 and if i need to change it i need to do it asap. If i could send u all the 2 pics i would. Unless i post them here but is that allowed. I would love the input. Crazy Mommy here. can we say Cuckoo...lol

Comment by diannep on November 14, 2011 at 10:02pm: NavyMom: Are you absolutely positive that was your son in the pik? I ask because I saw my son in a pik...without his hat on....was sure it was him. Printed it out. So happy to see him...well, it wasn't him! WOW! How could I not know my own son? But sometimes with the same "hair do", uniform, etc...they look alike. Just maybe, it wasn't your son in the pik and he still is in Div 30? Hopefully he will call/write soon and can confirm this.

In the meantime, assume that he is still in 30 and try not to worry about it...my son was asmoed when there so I know that they have to let you know if there is any change in the PIR date. He called me immediately when asmoed, and then again when put back in a division.

Comment by NavyMom (Ship 12 DIV 030) on November 14, 2011 at 9:49pm: Its the date on the form letter. I asked RTC they said it could change if a recruit had a set back but that couldnt be it cuz then he would graduate later rather than earlier.. When did ur loved one get to GL? Thank U!

Comment by diannep on November 14, 2011 at 9:36pm: Yes, I was going to ask the same thing, FTLW. If the form letter said Div 30, that should be where he is. Any changes to the PIR date mean that they have to let you know this. Or did you get the Div 30 info from his recruiter before the form letter was sent out? Sometimes their info is not correct.

RTC posted a pic of another division and When i enlarged the photo it seems my son is in the pic. I even called his sisters into my room one by one and told them "this is what they look like in RTC". so why did they point out the same person I think is my son? I am worried now cuz if his division changed then his PIR is a week earlier which is 12/29 not 1/06. Can any1 help.. plz..
