Make sure you go to both M&G's "events" on here and read the details to see which one interests you. Ramada ends at 8 and Sarge's at 10. Sarge does offer some perks. It might be late for some and then maybe all that running around will poop you out so you can get some sleep!
Yeah...guess that's how it's going to be...since it's stand down.
I was thinking more of the GL A Schoolers, as those that fly out only get the one day really. But since the rule is that you can't combine liberty with leave it makes sense...they can't have liberty and then roll into leave that Monday...leave would have to start Friday.
But then as Betsy said...who knows!
My husband was activated last year (this month actually). He went for training before he left the country. There was a week lag time at the end of training and their fly out date to Iraq...Christmas was in that week..."rule" is that you have to have 10 days in between in order to come home...so they would've sat in hotel rooms for Christmas. They scrambled, found out they could get it approved to come home WHILE they were at training...and did! We had two Cheristmas' last year. The first one, before he left for training, we surprised him with a decorated tree and his fave foods.
My head hurts trying to figure it all out. Your recruits are going to be advised and it will be best to take your cues from them. They will have to make the decision about what they want to do.
Thank you ilovemysailor!
Okay 09/021 - two quick questions - which MEET & GREET are y'all attending...Sarges or Ramada? Anyone secured reservations? If so, where? We are staying at the Marriott Residence Inn. Anyone else? You can respond above - Ship 09 Div 021!
Well they didn't really answer my question to be honest, but they said this
"They all must depart RTC on the 29th and yes, they will go in the hole with leave time if they take more than what they have earned so far. "
I'm getting the impression that they have liberty right after, but have to check out and be out by 4:00pm on the 29th. Maybe they can have liberty right after until whenever, but have to go back and check out at some point before 4:00 that day.
@FTLW
I asked that question on fb to RTC, I'll let you know when and if they respond :)
I'm pretty sure that my son's leave chit began on the day of PIR, but he was coming home. Those were who were staying at GL's (now, of course this was last year) were still allowed liberty but were due back to base at 8 or 9p.m. But, of course, they could decide something totally different this year, who knows?
FireTeamLeaderWife-The more information I get, the more confused I am. I am guessing that our Recruits will know their options and need to make the decision. Leave/Libery/None of the above. Giving up control my two cents on decisions is not easy thing on my end.
