Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

DRodsmom. Please don't tell your SR until after battle stations. In fact. I would wait for PIR. I think it will upset your son since he can't be there for his Gma. I think in your case since the surgery went well. It would be better for your son to speak to his Gma while he is with you. At least you can re-assure him that everything is ok. 

Explain this to your mom. I know she will understand.

Ladies, I need advice my SR's Gma had her heart surg on Friday. I haven't told him but she wants to talk to him. I believe it is the pain talking but it is tarring me apart. He is div 323 so I guess he hasnt done BS yet. Help! I am torn between the 2 people I love most :(

Omg.....you ladies are killing me. If I just went through the posts and started crying, i am going to be a wreck at PIR. lol either I need to get it all out of my system now or Im going to look "swollen puffy eyed" when I see my SR for the first time in 9 weeks!!! Moral of the story: Thank You all and I love you all :)

 You have been a GREAT help to me through this roller coaster ride. I have relied on you for a lot of answers ( as you can tell from your INBOX ! ) Thanks a million, you know I think you are the BEST!

A school ID card will work if he has one. If not a birth certificate will be fine.
