Rla:  We would welcome you to join the N4Moms veterans on the PIR groups!  Just join whatever PIR groups you would like to (you can get them off of our pages....they have them pretty much every Friday).  Share your info...and what you learned through this....and just encourage the ladies who are where you once were!  Jump on when you can to answer questions posted.  Thanks, and congrats to your sailor!

Wanted to ask you ladies, did any of your Sailors mail the pictures home, if so when did you receive them?  I am curious if I will get them before leaving for PIR

Had a great weekend in Great Lakes and Chicago!  We were lucky to get to spend the whole weekend with my daughter as she is awaiting orders.

I wanted to express my gratitude to the moderators who provide information and support here.  You ladies are angels in disguise!   Thanks also to all the fellow navy moms in this wonderful community.  Perhaps we'll meet up in another group!  My best to all of you and your sailors!

Wow, it is so odd to look at this page today and see Alumni and the countdown clock at zero.  It was an amazing weekend.  Thank you to all of our veteran Moms here.  You truly made this experience fun and memorable and helped all of us newbies through the 8 weeks.  I will be moving over to the Pensacola A school group, but would love to join the other veteran Moms in helping the new Moms, let me know what I should do.  Again, THANKS, so much!!!!

Wasn’t PIR everything you heard and then some???? I hope you had a fabulous time this weekend with your SAILOR!!!!!! Did you get all the extra hugs in you could? : )

When you get home, be sure to go join groups related to your Sailor’s A-school and later, to assignment or location based groups. Plenty of veterans in all these groups as you continue on in the Navy life journey. Keep in touch and pay-it-forward when you can! Many families can be blessed by the experiences you share.

We made it home from PIR...18 total hours of driving, but very worth it!  Great Lakes knows how to put on a wonderful graduation! Very remarkable and how wonderful to see my daughter and meet her shipmates/RDCs....she will be in THU very briefly and hopefully A school will commence this next week (medical paperwork issues). We finally found entertainment in Gurnee (great mall/cinema) and bowling in Waukeagan.  It's well worth driving around the area should you be waiting on your sailor to register for A school.  Got to see Lake Michigan (closer than we thought).  But it was really to turn her loose again today before we left and cut the apron strings.

Wow, just got home after PIR.What an amazing weekend!! My son is now in THU (temp holding Unit) till gets cleared by doctor.Hopefully will leave for A-school by end of the month, waiting on dr appt. He had liberty the entire weekend!! We had such an enjoyable time!! I met a few other N4M's! Good luck to all of your sailors and hope to hear from some of you SA mom's soon. We are now an a NEW roller coaster ride and still can't get off!  I guess thats what we Navy Mom's have in store for us!!! Congrats to all new Sailor's and families!!

It has been great getting to knew everyone.  I'm leaving this group and heading to our new group for A school.  It was definitely a roller coaster ride but we made it back to the station through the highs and lows.  Now we get on the merry go round of A and C schools.  At least now we can text and talk to them.
