I wonder how many go through at a time- anyone know?  With ten divisions are they seperated into 2-3 days or what?

are there extra tickets available for graduation if we might have one extra person coming with us, which would make us a total of 5? or how does it work if we might have an extra person?

Astrid- I know for a fact 117 118 and 121 are coed and 121 is an advanced training group. So mostly likely (your daughter I'm assuming?) Will be in 117 or 118
Comment by diannep on April 5, 2012 at 3:49pm

astrid:  There are no all female divisions in Navy bootcamp (yet!), but should be some co-ed divisions.  So hopefully someone will post which ones they know are co-ed. Glad your SR is back training again!

blithes0me:  It could be that Sarge will be picking someone else up around that time and you can "share" a cab with them.  Will save you lots of money.  I would text him at the number Chiquitos posted below..and like spring said, check out the Airport Carpool discussion above for other possibilities of rides.  That would be safer than getting over to the train station by yourself, I think.  By the time you add in the cab fare to the train station and the cab fare from the train station, may get a little pricey anyway.  If you weren't traveling at night, then maybe the train would have worked...just not so safe in my opinion!

Comment by bdmama on April 5, 2012 at 3:14pm

I think if you're going into OHare, the train is not far, and only $5, and right by the base.  A cab from there to your hotel wouldn't be that bad.

Comment by Chiquitos on April 5, 2012 at 2:02pm

His name is John Spadaro, he is called Old Sarge, his # 847-212-0246, if you are arriving at O'Hare he charges $54 to take you to your hotel.  He is a very nice man.  Call him, I think he can help you.

Good luck,

Gracie

blithes0me...... I have heard that Sarge's taxi service is cheaper than a regular taxi service. I don't have the contact info but maybe someone else can post it. Also look in the Discussions there is one for Airport Carpool, maybe someone has posted there that is coming in later.
