missmygirl: Thanks for posting this. It is why we warn you all to be careful about giving too many specifics in your posts here. Better to stay generalized and private message more detailed info. The SRs will not get in trouble for what we post here but can get "messed with!" It's all in fun...but the SRs don't want any more attention being drawn to them.
Don't want to scare anyone off of here though. In the past groups, some have been a bit careless and even posted negative comments their SRs said against the RDCs....one lady mentioned the RDCs by name! Oh boy...we all know that the RDCs want each of your SRs to become sailors and it is their job to make that happen. Not an easy task for them either....so many different personalities, ages, life experiences, goals, etc...all have to somehow get on the same page. But you will see at PIR...they do a wonderful job of this! And the SRs learn that they are their best supporters/leaders!
Wendy: It is up to the airlines as far as how many gate passes they issue. But Chicago loves its sailors so they are usually pretty generous!
Momof4: Hmmmm....surprised that RTC FB told you that about BattleStations first, Captains Cup after. They usually don't allow you to say anything specifically about BattleStations on there (date wise). Just know that with each group, some are sailors before Captains Cup, and but most won't be sailors until after Captains Cup because of the timing of different divisions going through BattleStations. Wondering if you will get calls today from Div 810? It is possible that they went through last night. Phones ready this afternoon just in case!
LA-BriansMom - Amen!
Best wishes to all you wonderful people this site is wonderful.
Does anyone know how many family members can be with their SR at the airport before leaving for A School?
I have read all the recent post and yes to all of you..all your comments about we are almost there, and it has surely been a journey. I have to tell you, that all of you have made this journey and easier path to travel while my son has been at boot camp....I have over 15 Blue candles lit right now..in my view of course to watch them...I offer all my candles for all of the wonderful SR's especially my Son who has traveled this Journey for the past 8 weeks...I pray that each and every one of our SR's call us soon with that wonderful News, I also pray to continue this journey for the next 4 year + with my friends I have made on this site and others...you have truly been a blessing to me! My prayers are with all of you as well as, our SR's tongiht!.....................and everynight!
So, I posted my question to RTC regarding CC before BS and they confirmed that BS first and CC after. I can only imagine that she was trying to say so much in the letter and could have been very tired. Anyway, keep those phones charged and close by!! Almost there!!
Thanks so much for all the very nice comments. I am very glad you all love the ribbons. I have been working all day on the last few orders and if you haven't received yours yet you should have them within a couple days. They have all been shipped or will be first thing in the morning. Feel free to email me if you have questions :-)
