Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by Rla1164 on April 4, 2012 at 6:59pm: One of the moms on our fb group just received a call from her daughter. She did not pass the run in the PFA and will not graduate on 4/13 as planned. This is what she said on the phone. She is at work and has asked if some of the veteran mom's have an idea of what will happen now for her daughter. Is there any chance she could sill graduate with her division? Thanks.

We cannot post the dates on this board. Your SR will give you the date when close to the end of bootcamp. We can private message the dates though. RTC wants you to start practicing OPSEC which means no talk about ship movement. They want you to consider BattleStations as ship movement since it is a drill where the SRs face many situations they might when at sea.

Comment by diannep on April 4, 2012 at 3:11pm: momof4: Thinking that Captains Cup is this Sat., not last. TeacherMom is correct...04/06 had theirs then. Yes, a holiday weekend this week, which means sometimes they move it up to Friday...but don't think they will this week.

I have a date for 117 BattleStations. Happening "very soon!" Can't post dates, but calls could come in when you said. Remember, ladies, the calls could start around 2 pm GL time on the day they finish (overnight drill). Not all can call on the day they finish (some have "watch') but hopefully will call later.
