I just added a discussion above that is a questionnaire I made and sent to my Sailor just before battlestations at bootcamp. It is a little bit funny and it also has a great paragraph about teamwork and battlestations that gives lots of encouragement. Please look over it and even if you don't want to send another questionnaire you can copy and paste the encouraging part. I think it would be helpful for anyone at bootcamp. You can even print extra copies and let them share it with their friends. You may have to tweak it a little bit because my Sailor is a girl :-) I hope you like it!!!  Enjoy :-D

Dianne I bet they are doing some of the battle stations early because of next week being Easter. Just a theory, who knows though.

After having my Sailor home for a few days with 6 week old puppy it made me want one really bad. I just have to keep reminding myself that we will be traveling a lot as we get older and don't really plan to have a four legged friend along lol. I best stay away from pet stores and humane societies lol.

Good advice-- I will call ahead :) Better safe than sorry!

Comment by Betsy, mom of Stennis sailor on March 30, 2012 at 8:40pm

CTsailor, It probably wouldn't hurt to call them ahead of time and check. I do know that at the Residence Inn, we had to make our reservation at the front desk when we checked in, but maybe the Springhill's policy is different,.  Maybe since you are arriving so late, they will take the reservation over the phone.

Diannep, thank you! My flight arrives late, so I won't be getting to the hotel until midnight...should I call the hotel ahead of time to let them know I will be riding on the shuttle in the morning or will it be okay to just tell them when I check in?

Comment by diannep on March 30, 2012 at 7:15pm

Yes, they use the PIR shuttle service, CTsailor.  So does Residence Inn, others do also.
