thanks again diannep,FTLW and JessicaB for all your sage advice again! It's been fun to go through another PIR group with you! And ladies of 4/13, will see some of you tonight at Sarge's and the rest tomorrow!

Comment by diannep on April 12, 2012 at 7:24am

Just a final suggestion....get there early tomorrow.  Gates open at 6:30....we were on the 6:30 shuttle and in the PIR Hall shortly after 7.  Wouldn't do it any other way.  PIR doesn't start until 9, but they have pre-ceremony videos/activities going on.  There were already plenty in PIR Hall when we got there...we had 9 divisions when my son PIRed...one less than you all.

So try and get some sleep tonight and be up early!

Safe travel today for all, ladies!  Congrats to the new sailors of 04/13!

We won't be able to get to any of the meet and greets...we're coming in late tonight. Sleep? Gonna try to sllep while hubby drives, because later tonight will probably be impossible. I plan on being at the gate very early!

We leave for the airport in 30 minutes. I am so excited. My ex, sailor's dad, are all taking him out on Friday. We haven't done that in 13 years. We even grew up while our son was away. I hope everyone that is traveling today hassle a safe and uneventful trip. I look forward to meeting those who are attending Sarge's meet and greet.

Shermur you would be proud, I didn't just do the girl scout cookies, I baked banana muffins and molasses cookies! Glad you got your baking done!
She gets dropped at Midway at 330 am and takes off at 1030 am for San Antonio. Classes start April 30 and graduation is June 15.
I can't wait to meet you all!

God Bless you all! I got my call around 5 today and talked for a long time before they opened up the NEX for anything they wanted and she was gone! Very proud of her, she said it will be hard to stand at attention for 45 min before she can talk to us. I am so proud of all our sailors, what a journey for them!
