I think I got it fixed but I am going back into US cellular tomorrow and make sure, I wish I could have 2 phones with the same number so that if one needs to be charged I will not ever have to walk away from it.

You need to ask one of his friends to set it for you , they all know how to do these things.

We missed 6 calls yesterday altogether, he tried to call my cell 3 times our home twice and my mom once. I am so sorry girls I feel so self adsorbed right now, can't think to think about anything else 9/27 can't come soon enough, I need to hug that boy. And I thing is I had the phone literally in my hand all three time that he called but it didn't ring or give me any notification at all just would show a missed call afterwards, it was blocking his calls and sending them right to voice mail. Darn smart phone, I am to stupid to have one, because I don't understand all the settings.

I cry a lot, remember liquid pride.  It is like missing a piece of yourself to let them go.

It always is the one time you do not have your phone that they call.  I kept mine ALL the time, Slept with it and the one time you forget that is when they call. Once I drove the 5 miles home to get it and guess what, there was a missed call !!! aaauuugggg. Then they say, Gosh Mom why do you never have your phone?

I was in the market on Friday and I had to go back to the car and cry a bit.  A few of my boys friends work in the market and it just made me so proud of what my boys are doing.  I cry lots too!!

Oh Cathy, my heart aches for you. We know our SR's know we would move heaven & earth to talk to them, but I know it's upsetting for you for everyone to have missed his call. I bet that's true what twinsailorsmom said about them sitting around last night talking about getting a voicemail on all their calls! When I read your post this morning, my husband was pumping gas in our car then we were going in Sam's to do some shopping. We had to sit in the car so I could cry for a minute. My husband asked me what brought this one on & I told him about your post & that it hurts my heart. He just hugged me & said I love your heart! He is so wonderful, he has to deal with my crying at the drop of a hat & not just crying cause I miss our boys, but for you ladies missing yours too!
Disy, I hope all is well with your daughter's feet. If you haven't sent any yet, send her some mole skin to pad the blisters & to help prevent more. I found some in the foot care aisle at Walmart.

Lots of Prayers for you Cathy!!  I know you fell bad but try to keep in mind that he is not totally alone.  My boys made friends right away and hopefully do did Bryce, so he has other guys to talk to.  They all sat around in bunks after taps last night and joked about how they couldn't talk to anyone when they got phone calls.  Write him a letter about how you phone was set wrong, about your husbands calling the pay phone back and about Grandma crying when she got the message.  He will LOVE it all and have a great time sharing it with the other guys.  And I can only say all of this because I cried when I missed my phone calls too :0)

Cathy...I'm praying hard for you right now. Praying for comfort and peace. That has got to be the worst feeling in the world. I hope Bryce is alright and that you will be able to get his next call. What a miserable day. It can only get better my dear. You have laid a strong foundation for your boys and they know hat you love them and that you are thinking about them every waking moment. I'm praying that he gets another chance to call you so that you can feel at ease. Get another calling card in the mail FAST. If you want...I would be more than happy to send Bryce a letter too, just so that he knows there is a whole group of us cheering him on and praying that he will succeed. I just wrote a letter today to a recruit at RTC whose Mom lives nearby and she just got his form letter. It was hard to figure out what exactly to write, but it's also good practice for me.

My heart literally hurts for you and Bryce. Slept through first call then miss two more. You probably don't know if you should scream or cry maybe both.
Unfortunately all you can do is write him letters and erasure him until he can call.

When I got home he had tried to call here twice and left a message both times and he also called my mom's house and left a message, he said he had spent a lot of his phone card and hadn't got to talk to anyone, my mom was even crying when she got her message. I asked God how can everything go so wrong, everything that could keep me from talking to my son has happened. I know God has bigger problems to deal with but this is a big deal to me!! I miss my boy so much, I am completely heart sick, I know I won't feel better til I talk to him. Praying, Praying that Bryce knows just how much I love him. I think that he feels pretty lonely tonight. I wonder if maybe he got his teeth pulled. I just can't stop thinking about it!! Prayers please girls lots of prayers!! thanks!!
