Hi there Shesh! So good to see ya drop in. I'm fascinated with where your son is stationed. I guess I should look it up. What does your Sailor do?
Yes...it's finally my go-around. And it's JonandTysMom's turn too. Our boys left one week after the other and she still another twin to leave at the end of the month. It's a lot harder to go through this than I ever thought I could prepare for. It has been exactly two weeks and right now I am aching for a phone call or at least a REAL letter. NMH and definitely stick around...we are all in this together. Thanks for caring.

OMG CO-twin!!!!! How exciting! Love it! That has to be one SUPER PROUD Mama moment! Congrats to PO3 almost PO2 Imhoff. Hard to believe it's been that long already! Looking forward to many proud moments in the future.

Lookie what I got. Seems this is a part of nuke school for power school grad. Sam asked if I had a minor heart attack getting mail from The CO of NNPTC labeled Official Business.

Shesh... What is the Stennis Space Center? sounds familiar but don't know what they do there. What is your sailors job.

Hi all, I haven't been on here in quite awhile.  It seems when BC is going on this site was a lifeline.  Then my son PIR'd and I went over to the FB page.  I check in here every so often & saw the mail from CO-twin.  All while be son was in BC, Sierrascrapper was quite active with this group.  Now I see you are finally experiencing the actual BC !  I hope you are doing well. I was an anxious parent while my son was a SR.  He has finished his A school and in at his duty station. He is at the Stennis Space Center in Mississippi.  I'll try and stay active because I could use the support of others in the same situation I'm in.  I haven't seen my son since Christmas and miss him terribly.  I at least get to talk with him but it isn't the same as being able to give him a hug !

No Co-twin, he didn't get in the 900 division. They weren't forming the triple threat that week anyway so it's just the way it is. He is ship 11 Div 267. JonandTysMom's son left one week after mine. I'm praying her son gets in a push division so we can have PIR together.

Sierra... Did your son make the 900 division?

I'm hoping even more that your Jon will get in a push division so that our boys would have PIR the same week. That would be so incredible! I'm hoping and praying!

Jonandtysmom...so glad to see you pop in. I'm so glad we have connected and are able to help each other through this whole Navy experience. I know our little group can help you even more.

Well hello there! Sorry for not being around the last couple of days. I've been caught up in joining my PIR group and learning a new position at my work.

Welcome NavyMom284! I love hearing all about your sons. They must truly make you so proud!

My twins are identical, but they are very different in their personalities. They even went to different high schools. My Future Nuke went to a traditional high school and my Future Teacher went to a career/tech high school. They are very competitive so it was actually a good thing for them to have their own friends etc. My SR was in marching band all four years and played the clarinet. He was the section leader his Senior year. He LOVES his music. He also graduated with honors and was a Distinguished AP Scholar. He managed to get a 4.0 his entire Senior year with 4 AP classes one of which was AP Music Theory. He's definitely a geek. My other son was in the Graphic Arts/ Communications academy in his school. He really enjoyed being involved in video production and photography. He did a lot of news productions and made some of his own films. He LOVES English and LOVES the high school attended which sparked his dream to become a teacher. He wants to teach at a school like that in the future. He also graduated with honors and was an AP scholar. He struggled more to get there, but he did very well. He will be attending the local university here and will major in Secondary Education with an English focus. He also plans on learning more Spanish so he can be even more desirable when he becomes a teacher. He earned scholarships and grants to pay for his first year and will be able to continue receiving them as long as he maintains a good GPA. He also played an instrument in middle school, but not high school as they didn't have a music program available there. He played the trombone. I've been trying to encourage him to pick up his instrument again and maybe even consider joining the college marching band. He has a slight bit of interest, so it might just happen.
