Disy, I might be changing my mind about wanting to meet you at PIR!! LOL Just saying go Cardinals!!!
CO-Twin, did you go to a meet and greet?? I know you stayed at Navy Lodge any other advice for PIR weekend??
Put your phone on vibrate in your bra when you go to bed. Puts new meaning to VBS. Not Vacation Bible School but Vibrating Bra Syndrome. Stole that idea from a mom in Sam's DEP group who did this to not miss the call.
Sometimes they communicate sometimes they don't, it depends on what they are up to, If they are working hard or like Steve if he is on a mission there is no communication. The ship FB page lets parents know when there is a mission.
Our recruiter just expected my boys to write him a letter from BC to say he got there and I was to call and say I got "The Call". He really did not come to check up. We did have to have a family visit by the recruiter but he did that before Steve left and did not do one for Sam.
The nuke school is in Goose Creek, South Carolina and the last leg of that, Prototype (the final exam of 6 months) is in Ballston Spa, NY.
I don't think mm do Prototype so they are in Goose Creek the whole time.
Cathymg Bryce will learn quick to hold in that temper. The best is if he can tolerate someone literally in his face screaming at him and don't blink. The thing that they need to do the most is listen to detail, don't react, keep your mouth shut. Follow EVERY instruction. Everything they do in BC is geared to train them to work as a team because the least mistake can cost lives.
Oh, Disy!! Cardinals still have several innings to come back, I won't give up this game yet!!
doubletrouble you can do this, and I suggest staying up all night, drink lots of caffeine, because I don't want you to miss the call like I did, just stay up, I think I was so emotionally drained that once I went to sleep, I was really out.
Ok, he didn't bring Bryce home and he hasn't heard anything, so all must be good. He was actually coming to see someone else who plans on signing up soon. The recruiter is a little upset because they don't have orders for the boys who are on the cardinal club yet. So we still don't know what day we will take Gregory to Springfield. The good news is that we good Cardinal tickets for Wednesday night too and it looks like Gregory will be able to go with us.
doubletrouble, I bet Bryce will have his PIR the week before Darien and Gregory the week after Jacobs, really to bad, I would love to meet all of you and I hate just barely missing the chance.
CO-Twin, it really sounds like you and your boys are still very close, how nice, I am hoping for good communication with my boys once they go to school.
CO-Twinsalorsmom, Enjoy the PIR and the time you have with the boys, how special it will be!!
Sierra, Thanks for the words of advice, Bryce has always been the one I have worried about most, he is a really good kid, but sometimes his temper can get the best of him, so I have just been worried!!
