Wondered what you were doing up in the wee hours! Dang it - there goes our road trip!! Yummy - could do with a cookie round about now! Love the photoshop comment - my hubby too would've said the same!!

Just a thought I washed and re packed the box, added some gifts to take to PIR to give back to him at the airport so he had one set of civvies when they phased up at A School.

Oh double trouble. Love the photoshop comment! Made me laugh.
I've even baking all night to send cookies to Sam. One of their friends is coming in the morning to drive Sam's car to him. Sent two boxes of cloths, mail and cookies.

doubletroube, your husband sounds like mine, to funny!!  It is to bad that they have to go that far to be sworn in, ours is just over 2 hours to get there and St. Louis is pretty easy to get around for a big City. So does Jacob actually go to the GL on the 13th.

Doubletrouble - what a hard day! Breaks my heart that he was so sad! Sending you big hugs! It is harder when they have a girlfriend or boyfriend - I got her phone in the box and read her texts to and from her boyfriend (MY BAD! ) - he was so sad - she sounded sad but was trying to lift him up - I didn't even think they were that serious! Hang in! These next few days are tough but then we have PIR so something to look forward to! Keep us posted!

Cathy - so glad you got the box!

Cathy, we drop Jacob off this coming Monday 8/12. I do think his sadness was because his gf was upset. Like I said, once he got around everyone else he was ok.
Cotwin, Jacob is doing ok, but I asked him a couple of hours ago if he mosses Darien & he said yes, poor guy. But, his gf is her with him right now so he is fine.
Sierra, we are not going to the swearing in, it is killing me not to, but we just can't make that trip twice in a week, it would be an 8 hr round trip plus the waiting around, then also go to PIR twice. And I'm not missing PIR! Paul's mom & gf are going to the swearing in so I will at least have pics of Jacob swearing in. My husband says we can just photo shop a different shirt on him & it will be Darien because they look so much alike!

I did cry several times today during and after looking at the boys senior yearbook, just got it today!! I wasn't ready for such emotion because it happened at work, a co-workers daughter picked it up for me and brought it to me..

Oh doubletrouble...my heart goes out to you and your family. The gf thing has got to make it hard for him to say goodbye. But as you saw...he was able to compose himself and that is a big step. The anticipation is a killer and all those emotions flood in at once. So glad you've been able to communicate tonight and hopefully some tomorrow too. Keep us posted.
